The Lake Zurich is a beautiful natural border to the city, providing parks, bars, restaurants and lots of space for relaxation. Many baths invite for swimming in the summer, when the water temperature is appr. 20 degrees. The old town is situated on both sides of the river Limmat with medieval, charming houses, elegant boutiques and a wide range of restaurants. The most important sights to visit are the church Fraumünster (windows by Chagall and Giacometti) and the church Grossmünster.

The Bahnhofstrasse is the most popular shopping street (without car traffic) on the left side of the river Limmat in Zurich.
