We have stayed in some very good Crowne Plazas and so now have high expectations of them. This one didn’t quite meet those expectations, although there was lots to like about it.

good location - a little out of the centre but an easy 10/15 mins walk (or quick tram ride from outside the hotel). Also, a good position for walking to various attractions not in the centre. We ‘splashed out’ on a Junior Suite with Executive Lounge Access (adding to our high expectations) and were a little disappointed to find the room was just on the 5th floor, not the 9th, and wasn’t any bigger than the ordinary rooms we usually stay in. The room was divided by a low cupboard unit, with the bed on one side and a small seating area on the other (which makes it a junior suite, I think). However, the room was comfortable, clean and quiet, with a good bathroom and nice toiletries. The executive lounge, on the 9th floor, was good enough, but often busy and so running out of things – and the coffee machine was often not working. However, wine and beer and sweets were plentiful and we could have enjoyed it all much more if we had not had other evening arrangements. The hotel bar was expensive (18.50 euros for my glass of rose wine). We enjoyed the swimming pool – and there is a huge, well-equipped gym. So, overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. [更少]
