For us, this was a good first choice,overnight accommodation, very close proximity (5 min.walking distance to Vancouver General Hospital). The front desk Staff were very friendly and gracious! If [Mehr] one is considering way's & mean's to get near to VGH, thé Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre 711 Broadway @ Heather Street, should be "they're" 1rst choice as well! Addition, for a transportation suggestion, from the interior, if one may, consider the Ebus, then upon arrival at the Pacific Station. then an approximate 10 minute taxi ( Black Top or Yellow Cab) $11-13 ride, be generous, round up the tip! On a personal note, have your {own} alarm clock, our in room clock(#HH246856), had a mind of it's mind of it;s own, twice. [Weniger]

I used points for this stay as the price is quite high. It is on average nearly $400 CAD a night, so I think 45,000 points for a night is more worth it. You also can get 500 welcome amenity bonus [Mehr] points and with the use of your IHG credit card and or ambassador membership, you can also get a portion of the points back. The place is not in downtown Vancouver, but it is very close via driving as you just need to cross the bridge. Very helpful and nice staff. The parking price is also reasonable. The room itself is decent, but it is on the smaller side. Yet, it was good enough for a comfortable and clean stay. Also, it was nice to be given a room with a balcony as an IHG Platinum Ambassador member. I would not mind staying here again. By the way, across the street, go try the K cafe and I cafe for good meals at reasonable prices. K cafe is more Korean style and I cafe is more Chinese style. [Weniger]

Stayed at this hotel for a recent hockey tournament and was pleasantly surprised by the clean, updated environment. Would have been nice to have a team room to air out the hockey bags (instead of [Mehr] smelling up each individual room) as is common in many other hotels, but overall, very nice and convenient to arenas and many local restaurants. The hotel was very easy to find coming from the BC Ferry terminal. The staff was friendly upon check-in and throughout our stay. We were very pleased with the room: quite large with lots of [Mehr] amenities, and everything was clean and new. Good breakfast in the morning to top it all off. [Weniger]
