Visited with my adult son. Clean & new. Free Parking. Maps available. Snacks available for a charge. Nice pool and open (12 persons allowed per booked time); the water a little cold for me. Nice [More] hot tub; your notice that only 2 people allowed at a time should be larger as people don’t respect it.. Pool towels too small; had to use my room towels. The entry card to enter the pool area just never worked right thru our visit. Room (301) was lovely and spacious. Great bedding & pillows. No water and ice but that could be due to Covid. The exhaust fan just did not work. One of our entry cards just wouldn’t work well, despite taking it to be programmed multiple times. Had difficulty getting replacement towels for the room, particularly if it was evening or later (guess housekeeping was gone for the day) but even when I met them on my floor mid-morning before/after breakfast, service was sporadic and we never got the extra tiny lotion bottle we requested. Lovely JR Watkins shower gel, shampoo & conditioner though. Breakfast: Very Good. Varied slightly each day. 1st Morning: Fruit, Boiled eggs, yogurts, scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausages, turkey patties, potatoes, bagels, bread, muffins, jam, cream cheese, syrup, coffee, tea, juice….. what more could one ask for….. Breakfast lady was wonderful and energetic. 2nd Morning: Same with bacon instead of sausage. There are computers available for use. Dining restaurants/waterfront within 5 minutes from hotel. Blue Mountain 20 mins approx. This is as comprehensive, fair and honest as we can get for the benefit of future guests. All in all, a good stay. [Less]

There are no complaints-just observations and feedback that hopefully will enable management to make some small changes if brought to their attention! The shower conditioner and gel were empty [More] (which I noticed too late and made for a very difficult detangling of my hair after my shower!). For a new hotel, there were already brown water spots on the ceiling in the shower which will look very bad, very soon. The bathroom tiling was unfinished and looked very unappealing. Beds and pillows were super comfy! Wish there were small windows that opened to let in fresh air. Loved the double blind system. Wishing Collingwood HI staff all the best in their new endeavour! Great to have a nice new hotel at this end of town. [Less]

Walked in and received a warm welcome . Requested a later checkout time for the next morning and did not have an issue having it. Upon arriving at the room was surprised to see a separate bedroom [More] area and sitting area. Since I was there with my family it was nice that my wife could watch her show on one TV while my kids and I could watch the hockey game on a separate TV without hearing each other. [Less]
quick and easy registration

Registration had been made by our daughter a week before our arrival. When she told us where we would be staying I went on line to check it out and discovered that I could sign up for IHG number [More] which I did. When we arrived at reception they asked if I wished to apply for an IHG number and I told I had already done that on line and they promptly entered my IHG number. Stays at other hotels in the past often offered a similar service but would not credit my current stay, only future ones. [Less]

Our kids basketball team stayed at the Aurora Holiday Inn over the weekend and it was one of the best hotel visits we've had in a long time. The hotel was extremely clean, the rooms were excellent, [More] and the staff were fantastic. We originally booked with the reservation director (Tatiana) who was very helpful in setting up the reservation process and made the whole trip very easy to book. The staff at check-in and checkout were very friendly, helpful, and professional. We were able to book the conference room for an after game meeting, and the kids had a blast at the pool. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone. [Less]

Stayed here for one night a couple months after the grand opening of this hotel; in the height of the Covid pandemic. The hotel was very modern and seemed to have decent amenities such as a pool and [More] workout room; even though I didn’t take advantage of them during my stay. The room was extremely clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was also very comfortable and linens were excellent quality. This hotel also has one of, if not the best blackout curtains/blinds that I’ve ever seen in any hotel. This may be a weird thing to mention but in combination with the comfortable bed, I had an excellent sleep! I also found the hotel to be extremely quiet. Not that it wasn’t busy, because it was (I believe they were fully booked), but the walls weren’t paper thin like in some other budget hotels (and unfortunately other Holiday Inn’s) I’ve stayed in. Breakfast was decent; selection was a little limited but I understand that due to the pandemic large breakfast buffets that I’m use to a thing of the past (at least for now). The cost for the room was also extremely reasonable. Overall, this may be one of the nicest non-resort budget hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I really hope that as this hotel ages they continue to maintain it continue to maintain that quality feel that I had when I stayed. This would be my top pick if I ever need a place to stay in the Aurora area again. [Less]
