My family and I came and stayed here one weekend. My son happened to leave his tablet. The hotel called us, let us know and held it for us until we could make it back to pick up! I was super [More] impressed that they were honest and didn’t try to keep the tablet for themselves. Also, very clean and cheap for the value! Great choice in Weslaco

If you have to go to Weslaco, as work often takes me there, this is a great choice and they appear to keep improving the hotel and adding perks for the guests. However this comes at a cost - they [More] recently increased the State of Texas rates; before it was an outstanding value, now it is an OK value. Staff and management are great! The breakfast has a lot of choices and you can find something you like. I spend way too much time here so I have three nitpicky issues that the normal guest would not likely notice: 1) the coffee is really bad, I often buy my own and make it in my room. I am pretty sure it is the same at all Holiday Inn express hotels 2) The wireless internet this last trip was hit or miss with speed - my guess is other guests were tying up the bandwidth because it was most problematic at peak hours. 3) The rooms can generate an offensive odor if they are not cleaned / deodorized everyday - this is in large part due to the hot and humid climate - I do not particularly like my room cleaned everyday. My stay was excellent. Very friendly helpful staff. There was a group of people in the lobby that were loud and noisy but the hotel staff was great at handling the situation.
