The Holiday Inn Zona Rosa was a nice experience in a very nice area called Zona Rosa. The area was a wonderful place to walk with many restaurants and little stores to visit and it was within walking
distance of Reforma. It has a history of being an "artist colony". The hotel itself was a very comfortable experience with a decor that I would call colonial or provincial. Most important to me was the web access....VERY GOOD.
They didn't really recognize me for my IHG status...it was pretty pathetic. Other Holiday Inns were much more inviting.
The shortfall was the food. I ate one meal there, a lunch, and I ended up just eating totopas #chips# with salsa, which was pretty good. The main meal was a buffet but there was no choice and it was basically flavorless. Even my Mexican colleague didn't finish his meal.
Summary...stay there, don't eat there but you have MANY restaurant options in the area. [Less]
