We arrived and went to check in only to find out that our reservation hadn't actually been made, 3 days after I made it my credit card had been hacked and I had to get a new one, which somehow messed

up my reservation since i said i wanted to pay at the time of our visit. Not sure if that was on the third party reservation end or the actual hotels end. I was so stressed out as we had just driven 4 hours, played at the aquarium in Draper and were looking forward to having a great afternoon and evening in the pool and waterslide. I had 3 anxious boys one that is 3 years old, and a teen girl that was sick of her brothers and their crazy energy. The hotel was technically sold out as there was a huge concert in town. The lady at the front desk, i wish i knew her name, was amazing!! She kept assuring me that once her manage was back they would do everything they could to get us a room... even if it wasn't our original room booked. At that point i didn’t care if it was smaller, my kids just needed to play in the pool and sleep as the alternative was to drive another 4 hours back home ending our 1 day get away early. They were able to get us into a 2 queen suit like I had originally booked. They were so nice, calm and polite the entire time, they were understanding of our situation as well. After almost an hour of my kids in the car with my husband we were able to get a room with plenty of beds for everyone. The staff and management were top notch and just amazing.
PROS:
The room was so clean and the bathroom was too, I loved that they had REAL bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash on the wall of the shower. The water was super hot still even though I was the 3rd one in the room to shower.
Pillows were awesome as they gave you 2 options for each bed of firm or soft and they were easily marked on the pillow case. The pull out couch bed was still in good condition and the couch cushions were firm and made an enjoyable place to sit.
My boys loved that the lamp on the table was touch sensor rather than a button haha. The room was still roomy even after pulling out the couch bed allowing room for our toddlers travel bed. Air Conditioner and heat system was great, we used both.
The pool was great with 1 exception which I'll address later. They had life jackets if needed and even had a red cross approved puddle jumper for my toddler. My older boys LOVED the water slide and even got dad to go down. My toddler enjoyed the play area with slides and sprinkler style valves and wheels and shallow water to play in. The hot tub was big and the water felt SO GOOD after driving so long in a squishy truck.
Breakfast had so many options my boys didn't know where to begin. Hot and cold options from cereal to fruit and bread/pastry items. Biscuits and sausage gravy, eggs, sausage and turkey sausage, salsa, and other condiments, yogurt, milk and chocolate milk, oatmeal with golden raisins, walnuts and granola, juice options. Enough table space for our crew of 6 as well.
CONS:
Bath towels were small and thin, and only 3 in a room that sleeps 6. Not a big deal we called for more.
The pool had so much chlorine that my eyes felt like they had acid in them after 15 min of sitting on the side watching the kids play. But interesting enough, I normally break out in hives when a pool is over chlorinated but this one didn't do that, just burned my eyes ha. [Less]
