Things to See

Get your recommended steps in and walk it out on the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk. This approximately 2.5 mile (4 kilometer) stretches 10 city blocks, with tops at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 to the Casino Nova Scotia. Perfect for lunch, drinks, ice cream, and shopping, the boardwalk is a favorite for locals and tourists alike. For those interested in the history of the Titanic, check out a Titanic Historical Tour, which includes a stop to the beautiful Fairview Lawn Cemetery, the burial grounds for some of first victims of the tragic sunken ship of 1912. For those interested in this type of history, the Old Burying Ground downtown is an amazing peek into the past. See the beauty of Halifax at parks such as the Halifax Public Gardens and Point Pleasant Park.

Hotels in Halifax

IHG offers accessibility to many well-known Halifax attractions, from the airport to museums like the Art Gallery of Scotia and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Enjoy numerous amenities that make your stay feel like a home away from home whether you’re travelling for business or pleasure, including high-speed Internet, enjoyable breakfast, pet-friendly availability, heated pools, and various new renovations.

Where to Stay

When visiting Halifax, the best way to choose where to stay is to examine your needs. If you’re travelling for business, you may want to stay close to the airport or the BMO Centre, IBM Innovation Centre, and the World Trade & Convention Centre. You may also choose to stay close to Historic Downtown Halifax to see all of the most exciting attractions.

How to Get to Halifax

Air, land, or sea, Halifax is quite simple to navigate to. Just 30 minutes from downtown, the Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) is a convenient option if you choose to fly. By car, the Trans-Canada Highway leads to Nova Scotia from New Brunswick as well as connecting Canada to the United States. While Halifax is an amazing destination for many reasons, parking is not a strong suit. For this reason, it’s best to discover the ins and outs of Halifax on foot or arrive at your desired destination outside of peak hours to find a parking spot. Another option is the Metro Transit system around downtown and surrounding areas, or the ferry between Halifax and Dartmouth.

Amazing
By Enajyram1
This was our first time staying at this hotel and the experience was amazing. All covid protocols were being followed, guests were respectful of the rules in the pool, the gym is a nice set [More] up,breakfast isn’t like it use to be but understandable during this time and the location is nice. The customer service was what really stood out to me , right down to the maintenance man I talked to.It was so good it makes me want to work there to be a part of an Organization that focuses on company values. I will be staying here again. [Less]
Well Rounded but...

Checked in late but all went good. Nice and comfy and great place to relax for sure. Since Covid19 pandemic the breakfast was not there (dining in), which is acceptable but one thing we're told a [More] simple take out bag is available but unfortunately NO it wasn't even a small banana, apple or any will be great! no go on that. The price should be lower IMO granted some lacking benefits that should be there. [Less]
Superior Property - New and Up to Date
By Healthy4Life
Exceptional new hotel with modern amenities. Very well planned and designed, the rooms are spacious (loved the high ceilings), comfy and include a fabulous TV (almost seemed 3D!). There are lots of [More] ports for electronics, a quiet & easy to use heating system, a great shower stall and plenty of space for luggage. Even the toiletries provided were of excellent quality. I used the fitness room twice and it is small but a motivating space. 8 and 12 lb dumbbells would be a good addition. The breakfast room is big and bright and there are several healthy options. Parking is free and it is less than a 5 min drive to Dartmouth Crossing. Staff were professional, accommodating and available. Appreciated that they could provide us with a late checkout and a room upgrade. Only complaint is the quality of the toilet paper. Would definitely stay again. [Less]
