The employees are so helpful and always smiling. I love the beds and the rooms are very clean. I stay here every time I visit Waco.

My group was working near by. We contacted the hotel and Mr Patel, the GM, was extremely accommodating. Our trip was weather dependent and he worked with us to make sure had what we needed. Check in was very easy. We arrived too late and left too early to experience the restaurant, but it looked inviting.
hotel gave us a dirty room

Front desk staff checked us into a dirty room that someone had just left. There were used towels on the bed and in the bathroom -- we didn't stay long enough in the room to see what else had been used. To their credit, the front desk fixed this quickly by moving us to another room.
Normally I would chalk this up to an accident or miscommunication with cleaning staff, but the room had tape on the door indicating it had been cleaned, which was obviously untrue. On at least one occasion, we returned to the hotel to see front desk staff with masks off because the lobby was empty. They also did not appear to enforce masks on the few guests we saw. This is unacceptable behavior, especially during covid.
Apart from this, the room was spacious, bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi worked well. We did not use any other on-site amenities.

My wife and I had a nice stay until we checked out. We made a mistake and left a Google Chrome Comcast attached to the back of the television. We called back immediately to ask the staff if they would go and get our equipment. Eventhough the room was not checked out the following night staff kept saying that they could not locate our equipment. The staff was short with us, rude, and very unprofessional with us, and some guy who was suppose to be a manager cursed at me on the phone. The facility is nice but I wouldn't recommend to anyone to stay there because the staff do not know or would not perform quality customer service to my wife and I. I personally feel that if we were of the Caucasian persuasion
our interaction would have been different. I can't even imagine your staff talking to white people the way they talked to us.
Room furniture needs updating

For the most part our stay was fine. The chair in our room was torn up and not pleasing to the eye upon entry. They need to replace the chair or recover the cushion.

Nice newer property and the young lady at the front desk was fantastic at customer service. Wish I could remember her name because she does a great job for you.
Reguarding a previous complant

Good afternoon!
On February 22nd i called and spoke with a gentleman about the concerns and the unhappy stay we had!
upon arriving to our room getting there late in the evening!
the bathroom had open soap with what looked like facial hair on it! there was a tooth brush on the floor in the corner(maybe they didnt see it) brushed it all offf cuz no big deal! fast foward to getting into bed! one bed was DIRTTYYY and a orange needle cap that we showed to the horrible lady at the desk!!! she took it and said ill show my manager!! we asked for a different room and they said thats all they had!! ( a handicap room!) i asked for fresh sheets and pillow cases and it was a complete hassel! when i talked to some manager lady she had no idea what i was talking about when i explained our stay she seemed as if she was concered took all our info and said she would give it to the gentle above her!
2 weeks later early march no contact
april no contact-
i called and spoke with a different lady "shift Leader" i guess no manager was around idk! any way she assured us she would give us our refund or a credit! fine let that go and bfore you no it no contact..
here we are in may and no refund or credit for our nasty stay!! this is my last attemp before i go higher just to get my small 140 back or a credit i dont care i refuse to had paid for a place so dirty and staff so unprofessonal and rude!!
Great rep at front desk upon check in/shower

The young lady at check in was very personable and willing to visit to personalize stay. She should be recognized!
Also, I prefer a standing shower rather than a tub shower. I was pleasantly surprised that my room had a standing shower rather than a tub. I wish HI / IHG would make more rooms with standing showers than tubs. I stay in several IHG properties regularly and have made it a habit of calling the hotel and asking for a specific room that has standing shower!

the people are the best. the food in the restaurant is very good. the room was comfortable and restful.
Relaxing oasis on the outskirts of Waco

Overall this is a VERY good hotel and well suited for families. We stayed in the 1 King and 2 Queen Suite and the room was large enough for up to 7 people (kids included). Storage (closet space) in the room was a bit small and with a room that size one would figure there would at least be two closets for personal belongings. The pool and fitness center were excellent and if you are looking to relax, then this is a great place to do it. The weakest point of the hotel (as has been our experience at most Holiday Inn Hotels) is the quality and value for the food and beverage at breakfast. Eating in the restaurant for breakfast was quite an adventure and they do not have the standard buffet on Sundays, as one would almost naturally expect. Dinner? Make the effort and go to Waco -- there are too many good choices in town to waste money (and a lot of time) on the food at the hotel.
