Disappointment

I am a long time IHG member and chose this hotel because of rsting and location. But the rating is way off. It was probably a grand hotel in the past but it is no longer. The hotel has not been well maintained. The room wasn't clean, especially the carpet and bathroom. Only one towel provided (no hand towel and none were provided when requested). Hotel is not in a great neighborhood.
No restaurants or shops nearby except a fast food place across a major road. Staff was unhelpful. Misunderstood pricing so while I thought it included breakfast, it did not. Adding breakfast at check in was almost half the cost of the room (pretty ridiculous).
I brought two colleagues with me, so three rooms total. We all had the same experience, so triple this review. I thought I provided my Rewards # at booking and again at both check in and check out, but no reflection in my account.

Modern room with an outdated bathroom

When I make checkout from hotel there was some bad news about minibar , they tell me I had take some food from there , but I'm sure I didn't take any thing just snikars , I was very angry about that , you should take care about you'r guest and have some justice. I like you're hotels but this kinds of proplem make me very angry because I'm sure I didn't eat anything from you'r minibar.

Although expensive, this hotel has an OK value if we compare it with other IHG hotels in Jeddah. The main thing is that they are renovating the rooms, which is essential if they want people to come back.
