Two night stay in a twin bedded room.

Following our three hour drive on Friday from NW England for the funeral on Saturday of a close family friend, we were made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff. Our room was just what we required, clean, comfortable, on the ground floor, and with all the things we could expect. Breakfast was supurb with so much choice too, and very well presented. I can only say that in many ways it was better than staying in a 5 star hotel, where you are often made to feel like a number, with no personal touch being offered. Well done to all concerned.

Disappointed

First impressions count, and when we arrived the litter bins in the car park were overflowing and litter was strewn around the floor.
The man at check in was clearly busy and was business like but I wasn’t made to feel like a welcome guest.
Our room (201) was directly opposite the lift, and all night, until at least 3am, we were woken whenever the lift was used. Each time it sounded like people were actually in our room. This was made worse by a group of men who had clearly made use of the bar.
I thought the window must be open because the noise of traffic going past was clearly audible, but this did die down by about midnight.
The bed was huge, but was very firm which when combined with the other issues resulted in one of the worst nights sleep I can remember.
The following morning, we went to reception to check out, but the desk was unattended. We waited a good few minutes but nobody appeared and so we followed the lead of other guests and simply left our key card on the desk with at least half a dozen other cards that had been left there.
We left without coming across any member of staff, never to return to Holiday Inn, Leamington Spa.

warm welcom

from check-in till check-out, I experienced very good service! On the first day, while having dinner, it took a while to get food but the way handled that situation was really admirable. Due to a technical problem in the kitchen, food was not able to serve but I didn't feel as disturbed!! Support from Melissa to book the train ticket is also commentable though we were unlucky to have a good result!!!

I was here on business and it was only a short stay, with a very early departure. Staff made me very welcome and the room was clean and comfortable. Food was adequate. I'd stay again if in the area.

Holiday Inn Leamington Spa

This is the third time this year I have stayed at the Leamington Spa Holiday Inn. Two for family visits and one for a wedding and all three have been the same experience for me. First class service from all staff and made to feel welcome ,not just a customer spending money. I would like to say a big thank you to you all and hope to stay again soon.

Total disappointment

I booked the hotel in June, 2 months ahead of the stay.
My key stipulation was we need connecting rooms as we had 3 children. I was told this was fine.
On arrival at the hotel late afternoon after a 4 hour drive I was told the hotel couldn't accomodate connecting rooms. Too late to do anything else and hence 5 of us ended up sleeping (or not as it turned out), in one room.

Why couldnt someone have called me a week or two before to allow me to make alternative arrangements?

Completely hopeless stay and what should have been an enjoyable night became uncomfortable and stressful.

I have received an email apology!

Not bad...

I've stayed for a night at the Holiday Inn Leamington Spa for to attend a business meeting the following day, and I thought the sleep quality was really good as it was really quiet in the corridors and not much sound coming from the streets.

There's more room for improvement when it comes to staff and service; I asked the lady at the check-in desk to add the points to my IHG account, as I have booked the room on my corporate credit card, but she didn't know how to do it. Second time happened during check-out with a different lady, and in my opinion that's basic stuff.
