BEWARE OF THE INCIDENTALS!!!!!!

Due to the renovations of this property, it was in great condition. I loved the décor and it was very clean. The beds were very comfortable, but hard to get into. Even my 6' tall fiancée had a hard time climbing on the bed. We had a room with 2 beds and the bathroom sink was out in the hallway, which I hated. The bathroom itself was so small.
Kudos to the front desk staff who were very nice and welcoming.
The BIGGEST issues I had were they charged my debit card right when I checked in. All the years staying in a hotel I was ALWAYS charged upon checkout. Not only that, but they charge $50 for incidentals, which I think isn't fair considering it could take up to 10 business days to refund that money back onto my card should I not need incidentals!!!! I think if they waited to charge my debit card upon checkout, they would know whether or not incidentals were needed. I was hugely disappointed and will never stay here again for those reasons.

While traveling, we booked a one night stay at 5634 Merchants Center Blvd, in Knoxville, TN. When we arrived at the hotel they did not have the reservation. My husband paid for a room on our credit card with the understanding that they would take care of the "lost" reservation.
After returning to our home after the trip I looked at my credit card charges and to my amazement we were charged three times for the same room and same time.
Several times I attempted to call and each time it was reservations and they would not help. Finally I got the correct number and I called the hotel directly and they said they had no record of the errant charges, and transferred me to their account billing who never answered the phone. The phone just went silent on their end. At this point I have been charged $304.82 too much and Holiday Inn doesn't seem to want to do the right thing here and credit my credit card account. I guess I will never stay at another Holiday Inn. if they are going to defraud their customers.

I booked an employee here after running into difficulties at another Holiday Inn a few exits North of this property. He informed me this location was much better than the previous hotel we had been booking. Thanks for making his stay so accommodating.
