IHG won’t let me post the full review and all the bad stuff that happened but I do not recommend this location of IHG. We had the director of operations following kids under 12 around the hotel and trying to talk to them, making them cry. Being very disrespectful and rude to us parents. Among many other problems including no cleaning or breakfast. Algae in pool but still open. Smoke in hallways. We stayed five days and had a hard time getting toiletries. Staff just walking into rooms. Very bad experience and not a good location.

will never, ever stay there again. Money is more important to the owners than the well being of their guests. A big thank you to all the parents from that hockey tournament who let their kids play, run and scream in the halls, banging on other people’s doors while they were busy partying. Nice way to teach your kids respect for others. A bigger thank you to the hotel staff for doing absolutely nothing!!! When they say to be kind, this is being very kind.

Stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend and we congratulated ourselves for choosing Holiday Inn Ottawa East.
The hotel is very nicely remodelled (we stayed here back when it was known as Chimo Hotel).
It has everything you need to relax: a charming atmosphere, nice dining area and swimming pool.
It is easy accessible and it offers complementary parking.
More than that, everything is spotless clean.
We'll definitely come again.
