The South Carolina Aquarium

The South Carolina Aquarium is located at 100 Aquarium Wharf on the historic Charleston Harbor at the end of Calhoun Street. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Fort Sumter National Monumente and Liberty Square which are all adjacient to the South Carolina Aquarium. Horse-Drawn Carriage Tours

A popular way to tour Charleston's historic district is by horse-drawn carriage. Also different type of ride would be a bicycle taxi which you will see all over Meeting and King Street. Just flag one down and enjoy the fresh air. On another note, you may enjoy a water taxi. Also available at no charge is the Charleston Trolley which travels the Charleston Penninsula and stops at the hotel and various downton locations every thirty minutes. The best part is the Charelston Trolley is FREE.

St. Philip's Episcopal Church Steeple

Listed as a National Historic Landmark, St. Philip's Episcopal Church was the first Anglican church established south of Virginia and is home to the oldest congregation in South Carolina. Because a light that was placed in the steeple guided ships to the Port of Charleston, St. Phillip's became known as The Lighthouse Church. Charleston is well known for it's historic church steeples. Don't go home without taking pictures of Chaleston's beautiful historic churches and church steeples.
