too bad over charged for football game

The staff was great -- Alex, Carly, and (forgot her name, but is a Criminal Justice major at App State!) and male front desk manager. The AC in the rooms was too loud (not fully renovated) and they tripled the rate for the one night because Football game at APP STATE.

Stayed one night. Signs requiring face masks were posted everywhere but very few employees and no guests wore masks, including the cleaning staff. Also, the room was dirty upon arrival. The bathroom did not appear clean or sanitized.

I have stayed here for the past 5 years, when it was a different hotel. it has lost all it's integrity! I had a pretty BAD experience to say the least. They supposedly have a restaurant and bar area, but when I went to order dinner for my son I was told "sorry, we are out of that, but you can go next door to the sage brush" There was NO microwave to heat up any left overs that I HAD to purchase next door. Also, my kids enjoy warm milk in the evening but was told they did not have a microwave. Also, the trash cans are the size of soup cans and you can fit NOOO trash other then the flimsy coffee cups they give you. I was also charged 40 dollars for pillows that were missing! Why would anyone want hotel pillows?! we bring our own and was told that two pillows were missing and that I was charged for this. Also they have a hot tub, jets don't work. Ice is only on the second floor . I am currently disputing the pillows! I will NEVER EVER stay here again, nor recommend it to family/friends who frequently visit Boone for various reasons.

Nice renovations and location for our trip. Our issue centers around the use of points and then also having our credit card charged for the stay. We're now left to facilitate the dispute.
