This hotel was by far the worse IHG hotel, ihg needs to pull the flag quickly, Poorly ran, Bugs in the room it was just a horrible stsy, I’ have nothing good to say about this hotel, where is the INDGIO AT, I don’t not get a complementary upgrade, nothing was worth the 15000 points I wasted that I learned

What a Mess!

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The restaurant was not as it was advertised. Even when you call directly, the recording talks about fresh cut steaks and there aren't even steaks on the menu. We checked in Friday night so that I could leave for an early flight. First we had to walk through cigarette and cigar smoke in order to enter the building. They had a Corvette club staying and they were allowing them to smoke right outside the front door. The entire hotel and room is in desperate need of updating. There were 2X4s under each of the beds. The carpet had not been vacuumed because we found plastic clothing tags on the floor. We also found a dirty wash rag hung over the shower rod. I mentioned these things at check-out and was told that he wasn't surprised because good help is really hard to find. He then handed my the wrong receipt and I now have the personal information of someone in the Trend Settas Corvette Club.
BEWARE! Upon check-in they told me that they charged an additional $100 deposit for incidentals. So I authorized the room rate and the additional $100 to be applied on my card for a total of $259.83. After looking at my credit card statement, I have found a charge for $259.83 and a 2nd charge for $159.83. So I have now been charged $419.66 for a room that isn't even worth $159.83. So I called to see why my credit card had the 2 charges and was told that the $100.00 would automatically fall off. The gentleman could not understand that I was charged twice for the room plus the $100. He even sent me the authorization history thinking that it would help me to understand the charges and it also didn't show where they had refunded the $100, and in fact showed the same 2 charges that my credit card shows. He assures me that I will see a difference in 2-3 days. However, the hotel still tied up $419.66 of my funds when I only authorized them to tie up $259.83. In the credit card business, this is considered fraud.

This hotel was advertised as a "Newly Remolded" Hotel. That is way I chose it. When we arrived there we were shocked at the shape the Elevator and rooms were in.
After we were settled in I had to use the bathroom and stepped into a puddle of water. There was a leak with the supply line to the toilet. I used the bath mat to soak it up. When I called the front desk to report it and ask for more towels I had to go down to the front desk and get them because she was the only one there for the night. This was a Saturday night!
I have been a Rewards Member for more then 20 years and I will not be one much longer. this is the 2nd BAD hotel I have stayed at in the last couple of months..
My family has had enough with IHG properties!

Do NOT Stay Here!

This is the letter I sent to the hotel manager with a response that didn't take any responsiblity.

*** Took pictures, but the website won't take them since they are too big. Dark, dreary, and dirty.

When I called your hotel the week prior to confirm my reservation, I was told you were under construction (your website only lists the restaurant being under construction and the pool and restaurant being closed - no mention of rooms). I was told that the lobby didn't have a lot of tables for our team to eat, but this person told me (she was the same person who was working Saturday morning around 9-10 am) she would make sure there were some tables at least set up back there. Yes - there were a few tables in the back corner, but there were also no lights on back there so we didn't even know they were there. Why would we go sit in a dark corner? I was also emphatically told (I had thought about switching hotels so I asked lots of questions that day), that the rooms were indeed finished. Some floors were still under construction, but the floors that were open were all done. This was a blatant lie and this was a week prior to us arriving. If they weren't all done by July 10, then obviously they were not done prior to that. When we got to our room, we had no towel racks to hang towels, no closet space (no bar or hangers in the area they were supposed to be, no desk lamp with extra plugs, no microwave, no hair dryer, nothing hanging at all on the wall, so no mirror above the desk that all hotels seem to have. I was lucky enough to have one hook on the back of the door, but others did not. In addition, some of the rooms still had tons of dust and painter's tape on the wall, and one guest room found a clipped toenail on the floor upon arrival. We all had to ask for extra towels because we were only given 3 for a two night stay, and the rooms were dark with not enough light., and there was also a very distinct smell in the bathroom after showering (no ventilation in the bathroom either). Not sure if it was the bathroom, or the towels but it was gross. In addition, there was construction debris all over the place - in the halls, on the elevators, etc. I have never stayed in a hotel like this, and I have been traveling for the past 5 years for travel softball so I stay at a lot of hotels. On Saturday morning, when I went to the front desk (same girl I had spoken with on the phone was working), I told her about my room and asked if all the "finished rooms" were like this, or only mine. She stated that it must have only been mine (which was absolutely not the truth as I talked to other families) and suggested to have maintenance come in with what was missing. I did not want someone coming into my room and we were leaving the next day so I was not about to move rooms either (although now that I have talked to other families, not sure what difference that would have made since it wasn't only mine). I do understand that $10 was taken off the room for our rate since you also were not serving a grab and go breakfasts like the other hotels are doing to comply with the COVID issues, but I do not feel as though we should be paying the rate that we were paying for a room that didn't have any of the basic hotel amenities. I don't appreciate being lied to about the rooms being completed as I had the opportunity to switch hotels the week prior and didn't because of what I was assured by your front desk employee. I would have much rather have paid more money for a hotel that was clean, and had the things that you expect when you stay at any hotel. I am asking that you do the right thing and refund money to the families in my group, and would suggest that you speak with your staff about disclosing the real truth about the rooms. When looking now at the reviews of your hotel, it appears that many people are saying the same thing and when people are calling to book your hotel rooms, they have no idea that you are under construction (also because it's not listed on your website). This certainly does not seem like a very ethical way to run a business.

Never again

This place is awful I'm completely wheelchair bound and we were in a handicapped room the bathroom was ok but bed was way too high had to sleep in my chair neither lift in pool area worked. When I asked if we could possibly get some money knocked off our bill of course there's no manager on site. The entrances don't lock and no security cameras anywhere

Room was nasty! Carpet was horrible and would not recommend attempting to take shoes off. Shower was filthy and wife would not use. Serious need for a remodel. The grounds were not maintained at all.

This Hotel is clean and the rooms are not brand new but kept well and functional. The staff are all very polite and pleasant and helpful. The room is dark and quiet and the overall experience is great and priced right.

Between the service on arrival and the comfortable rooms, I would recommend this hotel. Plus the overall appearance and atmosphere was very clean and up to date.
