Beware the rewards points system

Apparently, this IHG rewards points system is either unreliable, or it is not understandable. I have stayed the first three nights, expecting rewards points, and only accumulated 1600 points. One night was only worth 500.
Perhaps the desk clerks have not been instructed in the proper posting method. Or perhaps they have been, and this is just one more way to scam customers.
I am resigned to the fact that even after asking if points have been posted, they may never be.
This has been my experience with Bonvoy and Choice hotels also. IHG is not special.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL - WILL CHEAT AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU - GM DOES NOT CARE ABOUT DOING THINGS RIGHT AND TAKING CARE OF HIS GUESTS - WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU IN THE SLIGHTEST TO MAKE UP FOR THEIR MISTAKES AND WHAT WAS PROMISED. I understand the hotel was taking a hit because of the virus but the General manager was not appreciative of the few that were still giving him business. They were trying to save money in different ways but that does not mean it is okay to take advantage of those of us that are still traveling during this time. He went against specific and direct directions by me to NOT change rate or reservation as it was made but he did what he wanted anyway. Rate was booked to include breakfast but they decided to close kitchen without telling anyone.. They would have proceeded to cheat me if I did not mention the fact that is what I booked. Would not work with me in anyway to provide some sort of breakfast like other hotels as promised. On top of that he would not give any points to compensate for all the issues faced with the lack of professionalism, the mishandling and true lack of concern from staff. Staff was not even sympathetic nor apologetic for their actions and the issues I had to deal with causing me stress and frustration which ruined my stay. The general manager should not even be in the hospitality industry let alone even be a manager. AS A SPIRE ELITE MEMBER AND HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS AS AN IHG LOYALIST I WILL AVOID TO EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN!!

Obviously there have been changes, not for the better

I have stayed numerous times at this hotel and always had nothing but great things to say about it. This last stay was the total opposite of any other stay. Apparently, their have been some staffing changes and I found them to be very rude and unhelpful. With the exception of Chris when we arrived everyone else was rude and seemed to be put out anytime we asked for something. We had asked for a late check out and at 11:00 am they were calling our room to see if we were staying another night. Then not 5 minutes later housekeeping was knocking on our door. When I explained we had a late check out they stood outside our door, and when we finally left they were still standing outside our door and there were 3 children out there that were clearly part of the housekeeping staff. The children would not move out of the way and were hanging all over the carts. Also, at one point of our stay we ordered in and we did not get eating utensils. I went down to the front desk to ask if they had any plastic utensils and stood their for a good 5-7 minutes while the lady at the front desk was on her cell phone on a personal call. When she finally acknowledged me she seemed very annoyed that I interrupted her. The room wasn’t as clean as it normally is and the bathroom still toilet on the floor under the sink from the last person. This is not the same hotel that I have stayed at for years and I never said anything to anyone there because with the way I was treated throughout the stay I figured it wouldn’t do any good. Sorry but I wasn’t pleased with my stay and may reconsider my next stay at this hotel.

I would like to personally thank Chris at the front desk. I was in Franklin after my dad died. Chris helped me with directions to places nearby and showed me kindness every day. Great hotel. Professional staff!
