Holiday Inn Express Manchester City Centre - Arena
We had a rather long stay but the staff offered help whenever we needed, specially Luju and Eveline, who are proactive at service and good at communication, but everyone on the team is really[More] cheerful and diligent, including the kitchen, cleaning and maintenance staff.
Their breakfast selection is to the point. Food tastes adequately but consistently fresh and delicious. And truly wonderful is the location. You could easily walk around the city centre and access to the major transport stops while being able to enjoy quiet nights because the hotel sits in a calm and clean corner of the city.
Cleanliness-wise, the carpets could use a bit more vigorous vaccumming, but the rooms were clean enough even for a long stay like ours and the sheets spotless. It looks like the cleaning team had already tried their best attending to so many rooms everyday. My suggestion is to hire more staff on the cleaning team.
Thanks again for the team for your hard work in keeping this hotel clean and functional. I would definitely choose this branch again whenever I stop by Manchester.[Less]
Good location for MEN arena
Welcoming staff, room clean and tidy. Comfortable nights sleep and simple breakfast. Good location for our visit to the MEN arena and close to restaurants. Would recommend this hotel and will use[More] again.[Less]
Comfortable Bed - discomfortable breakfast
Generally I lived this hotel as it is close of my meeting place. Price are high compare to it should be.
Break fast are poor and should have better availability and more variety.[Less]
Great hotel and staff.
One of the best, if not the best hotel I have stayed in. Rooms are great - quiet, spacious, great beds and shower. Staff are so friendly and helpful. I have stayed here many times and this is my[More] preferred hotel in Manchester.[Less]
Carla is amazing
I had booked the hotel through booking.com due to the theatre and restaurant being so close to each other. When we arrived, our booking wasn’t on the system, Carla looked into this for us and[More] booking.com had confirmed the booking with myself but not with the hotel. After talking to booking.com, Carla explained what was to happened next, she put 2 ladies at ease that thought they would be stranded in Manchester but reassured us, that she would not let that happen. When I eventually got through to booking.com, they basically put the phone down on me, cancelled my reservation and therefore actually leaving us stranded in Manchester. Carla was so helpful and due to a group of girls cancelling last minute, Carla sorted us out and booked us in. Carla is an absolute asset to the Holiday Inn brand, someone who goes above and beyond to make customers feel at ease, especially when put in awful situations. I would highly recommend this hotel especially if Carla is working, you are in good hands.[Less]
We had wonderful service from a lady named Wendy - we mentioned we were out for my mum’s birthday and she gave us a bottle of wine on the house. Made our evening 100% more special, couldn’t praise[More] her more for her hospitality and kindness. She was brilliant.[Less]
