A really great hotel, friendly team, location perfect for both Kettering and Corby access.
Rooms, facilities and services were spotless, and the team were there at hand to assist with any enquiries.[More]
Great breakfast too.[Less]
hotel was brilliant - rooms are clean and comfortable and beds are lovely to sleep in - shower room clean and modern but shower not very powerful - would definitely come back to this hotel and will[More] use holiday inns in the future - staff were friendly and the ability to use the harvester restaurant across the road added to the brilliance of this hotel[Less]
Excellent interpersonal skills of staff whom we met.
We looked for a stop over on on our journey from the south coast to Nottingham.
Unlike other motels Holiday Inn Express include a breakfast.
The price was no higher than some hotels who only provide[More] a room only.
Immediately felt at ease by the welcome we got and did not feel at all intimidated by the services on offer, as a result had a relaxing drink from the bar at reasonable prices (not inflated like most Hotels) and a very relaxed sleep and breakfast next morning.[Less]
Good value for money
We stayed for 2 nights over a weekend - the room was a nice size, comfortable, practical and with both air con and a window that opens. The swimming pool/gym/Jacuzzi area was clean and warm and[More] towels were provided. The towels in the room were brand new and fluffy[Less]
my visit to peterborough west

Liked the hotel, but noisy neighbours
By Silver Mane
Generally we liked the hotel. Had a very good room with an enormous and very comfortable bed.
Breakfast was OK but not great, and for me the bar prices were too high
Our stay was spoilt, as we were[More] woken up just after 3:00am in the morning by noise from the room next door. We gave it 45 minutes or so, but the noise (talking loudly and ultimately shouting) just got worse.
I called reception, who said that they'd be right up to deal with it, and within 10 to 15 minutes, peace and quiet returned.
So, not the hotel's fault and dealt with quickly and efficiently, but it spoilt the experience for us, especially as our room was in the "quieter wing"[Less]
all in all, very good

Review of stay at Corby/Kettering Holiday Inn
We stayed for four nights over August Bank Holiday weekend.
I have divided the report into several parts:
1. Appearance and reception. When we arrived[More] the car park had plenty of space and check in was very simple.
The reception area was clean and neat with comfortable chairs and tables.
2. Accommodation. This was mixed. The room and beds were fine, given the size limits of the room. There was no bath but a shower. This was fine for us.
However, during our stay we had a number of issues. The window was stuck, the television didn’t work properly, the basin plug got stuck and the tap was loose. All very minor and someone came fairly promptly when we reported them. Unfortunately, the tap continued to be loose and the television continued to have problems getting channels and sound. So the accommodation is good but maybe a little tired. Maintenance and TLC would improve it
a) Breakfast. This was very good. Absolutely standard food and mainly cooked well and tasty. For my wife they made fried bread and also provided a banana when asked.
b) Evening meal. We had one meal in the hotel and I had a bar snack. This was adequate but not exciting. The starters were fine (for my bar snack I had two starters) but the main courses were unappealing on the menu and the same in taste. My wife had a burger – there was plenty of it but it was very solid. I had a chicken quesadillas – something I had not had before and won’t have again. It was enormous. The filling was OK in that it was fairly tasty but unexciting. I left one of my two quesadillas and the waitress collecting the plates said she had never seen anyone finish this dish. Why so much food?
4. Cleanliness. The room and communal facilities were clean with one exception. That was the entrance. On one evening there was a wedding reception and the front was covered in discarded cigarette ends that were not cleared by the following evening. This was not a good advert for the hotel.
5. Staff. The most important asset of a hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with all queries. So, this was an absolute bonus for the hotel and they should be proud of their training and recruitment process.
attentive staff, spacious comfortable room
Pleasant hotel, good situation with easy access.
Helpful reception staff when I wanted to extend our stay,
Spacious comfortable room.
