As a guest of one of our Holiday Inn Express® New Orleans hotels, you'll enjoy the rich history, great music and diverse culture and cuisine of Louisiana's most celebrated city.
Hop on the St. Charles Avenue streetcar and tour the beautiful Southern mansions of the Garden District or spend the day - if not your entire New Orleans hotel stay - wandering the charming streets of the French Quarter. There's art and antiques on Royal Street, trendy boutiques and gift shops on Magazine Street and lively street performers and musicians in Jackson Square. Enjoy a cup of chicory coffee and fresh beignets on the patio of Café Du Monde or duck into one of the Quarter's seemingly hole-in-the-wall restaurants for authentic Creole gumbo and spicy jambalaya. Bourbon Street can be a bit of a tourist trap during the day, but once the sun goes down, New Orleans' famous party district earns its reputation.
Enjoy sugary-sweet rum hurricanes and authentic New Orleans jazz as you dance the night away in Bourbon's legendary bars and clubs.
If you're willing to venture out of the city center during your stay at our New Orleans hotels, stop by one of the above-ground cemeteries. St. Louis is the oldest (dating back to 1789), and its hauntingly beautiful tombs have been featured in major Hollywood movies and works of fiction. Tour groups are your best and safest bet here; although, carriage tours of the cemetery can be a real treat. New Orleans carriage drivers are all certified tour guides, and their knowledge of the city's history and culture, as well as their local flavor and spin are far better than any travel book.
Of course, this is only a sampling of what the Big Easy has to offer our New Orleans hotel guests. Time your visit during Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest to experience the lavish and boisterous festivals that make this city so special.
I stayed at this property on business and was very satisfied with the ease of check in and quality of the room. The staff are very eager to assist is any way possible. I recommend this property and I[More] will stay here again.[Less]
First time at Candlewood Suites.
It was okay. Staff was very friendly and knowlegeable. Lobby and grounds were well kept. Room was pretty clean. Couch was torn and dirty and the sleeper sofa should not be used by anyone other than a[More] small child. The recliner didn't recline. All in all, just okay.[Less]
Staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. If all hotels had a staff like this I would travel much more often.[Less]
Not all expectations met but still enjoyed our stay.
It was my wife and I 9th Anniversary so for $154 per night which included $35 per night parking and breakfast at a cost I'm not sure of, we expected a lot. We requested a room with a balcony/view and[More] got a small balcony with no sitting chairs and a view of nothing really. The room however was very clean. Housekeeping cleaned every day but would only give us towels for one person. Our iron was broke and it took them over an hour after two or three phone calls to replace. The bright spot however was the Street Car Restaurant in the hotel where we ate breakfast every morning. The staff there was phenomenal. Ursla, Dezeeree and Dwayne were awesome and the food was good also. Hat off to the chef. Though our expectations were not fully met, the treatment we received in the restaurant made up for it in that they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. 4 out of 5 stars.[Less]
I did a review couple weeks ago but don't see it posted.
Guess you only pick what you want people to see. Although my review was very favorable .[Less]
Loved the fact that you had to have your room key to use the elevator. Also garage parking a plus.
Very convenient location. Bus pickup right across street.
But the very best thing was the rate.[More] We stopped at a welcome center and mentioned we were looking for holiday inn hotels. She went in back and came out with a brochure for $64 weekday rate. AWESOME
We always stay at holiday inns when traveling.[Less]
