I like the fact they always give me the room I ask for, 3rd floor on the creek side of the building....
The desk staff always welcomes me and make me feel welcome.....

Stayed for 2 nights. First floor room was loud- heater or fans from rooms above annoying humming sounds. Beds quite lumpy and uncomfortable. It was clean, however. Hot tub needs updating. Last time we stayed, the light in the hot tub floated out of it's receptacle , attached to it electrical wire floating in the hot tub (they did close the spa when I reported this). This time, the drain cover on the bottom of the hot tub was loose and easily kicked off. Pool not well stocked with towels and they were thin and tiny. The breakfast was decent. Lady at front desk very helpful and friendly.

Thank you for taking the time to fill out the survey - we continue to work to be the best Holiday Inn Express in the area. Our plan is to start swapping out some of our mattresses here in the 4th quarter of this year. I believe we'll get you that sound night sleep that you expect at a Holiday Inn Express. I'm not sure why the pool cover was loose, but it's fixed now.

Clean but old.....

I usually choose a Holiday Inn Express because I can expect a clean environment, a decent breakfast, quality linens, and firm beds. This Holiday Inn Express had all those; I was particularly impressed by how clean it was. However, the building and rooms desperately need a major remodel and updating. While the lobby and lower public areas were what I expected in a Holiday Inn Express, the room we were assigned was obviously old. We did pay slightly less than we've paid at other Holiday Inn Expresses, and we did enjoy a peaceful, quiet night's sleep, but I was a bit disappointed. We were told that the building will receive an upgrade in 2015.

I'm sorry we asked a question that was offensive on the survey. We (IHG) try to capture a very very broad audience and some of the surveys questions are just so we can get a regional idea of impressions. We're working hard on being better than average - I hope next time you'll see a difference.

Everything was clean and modern. Breakfast was good and a good selection, too. My only complaint was the lack of outlets. They didn't have extra power strips or outlets placed in the lamps or on the desk.

Quiet comfortable room

Stayed for business trip. Room was very clean and well appointed. Had a minor issue with my stay but manager handled the situation very professionally and to mutual satisfaction. Will stay here next time in Ellensburg for sure!

Great staff, bad air conditoning

The staff are friendly and keep the hotel nice and clean. The air conditioning in my room did not work, but I opened a window and didn't bother reporting, so I don't have any complaints about how it was handled. On a previous stay, I did have a window that would not open.

Very sorry about the AC, we've checked the room and have everything in tip top shape. Though with the fall temperatures now hitting Ellensburg - we're tuning up all of our heaters now as well.

Of course your 100% right.
I remember that morning and appreciate the heads up on the fan. A belt had snapped/frayed which caused that branch of the exhaust system to fail.
Often our quickest notifications are from our guests for us to jump on problems that pop up suddenly.

Great Staff and mostly comfortable sleeping

The staff were friendly and welcoming.
We found the pillows provided were not as firm or supportive as they should have been: even though they were labeled "Firm". We were surprised that the water pipes ran through the wall where the head of the bed was placed. Making for a noisy morning as nearby guests had their showers.

Improved, nice property, but varying staff attitude

Stayed at this property twice. The first time the front staff was absolutely wonderful! Welcoming attitude, helpful and attentive. The last time we barely got a hello. They seemed inconvenienced and everytime we passed through the lobby, I almost felt like I was trespassing. Never a greeting, just a glance and stare and continued to look down at the desk. Depending on the time of the year, if there are any sports tournaments, the walls are so paper thin every conversation, screaming, yelling, laughing and snoring can be heard. Our last visit had no such tournament just the rodeo and mostly adults, so was quiet and peaceful.

I'm very sorry you didn't receive the level of service from our staff you should have on your last stay with us over the Ellensburg Rodeo. Our guests are never an inconvenience and I'm sorry we made you feel as such. We are constantly looking for ways to improve and deliver the highest quality of service, and I will make sure all staff know, that no matter how busy the hotel is - we can't let "work" get in the way of our jobs!
