Guests Beware, they don't enforce or encourage their own mask wearing policy.

Upon checkout yesterday, I told the team member that I was disappointed that the hotel was doing nothing to enforce their own mask wearing policy while in the hotel. She stated that she was behind the plexiglass, therefore didn't need to wear a mask, which I understand. I then further explained that I wasn't referring to the hotel employees, but the guests. She said she couldn't enforce mask wearing. I then pointed out to her that when I made the reservation on the website that it explicitly stated that visitors and guests are required to wear face coverings and it appeared to me that they were doing absolutely nothing to enforce it. I felt safer making a reservation where I thought measures were in place to protect guests. I saw no sign noting the requirement of masks, no masks being offered to guests without them, or even the first mention to any of the several guests without coverings to please cover their face to protect others (since it is the hotel's requirement per Michigan Executive Order). The front desk clerk then made a gesture to the back corner of the office area stating she has masks for guests, but they won't wear them. What?? I never even heard them offered to any guest without a mask, let alone any sign telling guests that they were available. I think IHG should certainly remove the "false" indication of requiring masks off their booking website if this is not going to be enforced. If gives guests that are considerate of other's health and their own, a false sense that they're going to be staying at a safe place. Otherwise the stay was pleasant. The room was clean, floor markings with social distancing guidelines were in place and hand sanitizer was in multiple locations throughout the hotel. A hotel is private property and absolutely reserves the right to enforce their own policies. If you want to benchmark a business that is doing it right, look to Menards. No guest is allowed in their store without a face covering.

The room took me back to the year 2000. There was no menu for the very old television, and it would turn itself off after 5 mintes. The room had no amenities outside of a bed and bathroom (ie. fridge, sink, etc)
Additionally, it was very expensive for a room in New Buffalo and I did not see the value. I would not stay here again and would not reccomend unless updates are made. Additonally I did not recieve anything for being an IHG rewards member.

This was close to the downtown area and easy access to the expressway. Great place to stay and would stay here again when I'm in the ara.

I've stayed at the New Buffalo location a few times this summer and always find the rooms to be very clean. The front desk staff was friendly and their check in and check out process was quick.
I will be back and have already recommended it to others.

Definitely time to get some new mattresses,these were pretty beat! The room was clean and the staff was very nice but the bed was more like a fold out couch than a bed.

Room was nice, location was perfect.
Walls seemed paper thin, we could hear the conversations in the next room and the man upstairs either weighed 300 lbs or the floor was that thin. We could hear every step they made! When I went to shower in the morning the shower was full of black hair! Yikes. Decided to drive home with out the shower.
The ladies at the from desk were very friendly!
Would I stay here again............maybe. If I did, I would ask for a corner room and I would check the shower before I paid the bill!
