Don't Go Home Without

Don't Go Home Without

No trip to Aberdeen is complete without sampling some of the region's world-famous malt whisky. Taste a dram or two of single malt Scotch at the charming Glen Garioch distillery in the historic market town of Oldmeldrum, just 19 miles from the hotel. This is one of Scotland's oldest operating distilleries – they've been making the "water of life" here since 1797.

Smart Tips

Aberdeen's city centre is relatively small and easy to explore on foot. If you prefer to take the bus, note that Aberdeen's public buses only accept exact fares, so make sure you have enough change before you board. For a tasty meal with water views at a bargain price, visit the old fishing village of Footdee and enjoy some takeaway fish and chips by the water at sunset.
