Despicable

I was very displeased with being exposed to this unsanitary health hazard(pictures are attached with blood and urine stains ). I am one step away from contacting the health board in the state of Florida. No one should be exposed to any human fluids. A detailed cleaning is what Holiday Inn promise and that is what should have been delivered.
A very kind employee named Henry who switched me into 3 different rooms was very apologetic about the inconvenience.
**PLEASE PLEASE CHECK YOUR LINEN**

We specifically called to ask if all amenities were available prior to reserving our room and to ask about breakfast. I paid a good amount for my room for 4 days and 3 nights after being told everything is the standard. All amenities are available. The only requirement is to wear a mask in the public areas. I arrived to check in to the hotel at about 1 pm on Friday, where the housekeeping supervisor and front desk agent greeted us. The front desk agent asked the housekeeping supervisor if our room type was ready and the first thing she said was " Did they request early check in?" We flew from Syracuse, New York to Orlando, Florida We had arrived an hour and a half prior to check in. I am an IHG Member since 2007, and feel as though the snarky comment from the housekeeping supervisor was unnecessary. She could have apologized and asked us to come back. We were told a room may not be available but the housekeeping supervisor would check. She reached out to a housekeeper who stated she had just completed a suite. The housekeeping supervisor said she would go and inspect the room. The front desk agent continued to check us in. She asked if we had been to this property before to which I stated "No." She gave us our keys and told us to wait until the housekeeping supervisor came back. Twenty five minutes the she came back and gave us the all clear where we proceeded up to the 2nd floor to go to our room. I went in and got our things situated. I went to make the pull out bed for my daughter. The plastic bag in the closet only had a thin blanket and a pillow that had a reddish brown stain all over it. I called down to the desk to see if someone could bring sheets up. I had requested extra towels and an extra pillow on my reservation as well, but they were not in the room. The housekeeping supervisor comes up to our room to check and told us that they have some problem with construction crews stealing extra items that are left in the rooms so that is why they do not leave them for guests. She brought the housekeeper into the room and she gave us a set of sheets. They checked out the pillow and changed the protector. The housekeeper apologized but this was also an oversight on the supervisor who had just inspected the room. There was also trash under the couch. I told them I would make the bed and they left the room. My daughter wanted to go check the pool out so we changed and went down. There were no pool towels, so I called the front desk and he brought a load to the shelf. My daughter and husband went in the pool and immediately got out. My daughter shrieked. I felt the water and coming from NY this pool was colder than when I open my pool. According to your staff when we called the pool was heated and open. So we went over the hot tub which was also "not working." What appear to be jets are not. The front desk agent in the afternoon explained that the "jets" are actually just hoses to carry warm water throughout the hot tub to keep the temperature warm. This is not the case. After about 10 minutes we were cold. My husband also tried the handicap chair and that too was not working for the pool or hot tub. We then dried off and went back upstairs disappointed. We headed out later for dinner and he stopped at the desk where a very cheery young man greeted us and explained the hot tub and stated he would check the pool heater. We came back from Dinner and there was a large gathering of a wedding party on the patio around the fire place. The wedding party stayed just under our window on the patio until 1 am being very loud. I get it but its not ideal when you have a child who gets woken up repeatedly. They decided to leave their mess for the hotel staff which was also disturbing. Saturday was not any better. We woke up and headed down to breakfast where we anticipated a hot breakfast with all sort of options as that is the IHG standard for Holiday Inn Express and that is what we were told when we called. Boy were we disappointed when she gave each of us a choice of French toast sticks, pork links or biscuits with sausage and gravy. What happened the whole breakfast? No toast or bread options? No eggs? No pancakes? We were given 2 frozen quality French toast sticks, not two pieces of bread work, literally 2 sticks. half a piece of bread worth. 2 sausage links. and orange juice. My daughter chose milk and a banana. We did some running around through out the day and came back later and brought my daughter down to the hot tub. No towels again. In fact it was no towels Sunday as well. We gave up asking and brought towels from our room. I had to request them Sunday because the hotel thought 2 towels in our bathroom was enough for 4 people for 3 nights and 4 days. No big deal though, they gave us 4 more when I went down to the desk and asked. Saturday night the wedding party was on the patio again, this time the group was much bigger. They had brought all of the patio furniture around the firepit just before dark. We were hoping to enjoy it as well however there was no room and none of them had masks on. That is not COVID safe at all. Sunday breakfast was a cheese omelette which was okay, again no toast options, they ran out of some choices of milk, etc. We were able to finally use the firepit that night because of the wedding. However they came back super late and decided to take over the entire lobby with no masks again, with liquor and food and brought it out on the patio. They took over the entire space yelling loudly and dancing around. Everyone is entitled to have a great time, I get it. It is your wedding day but it is also something that other guests are at this hotel trying to enjoy. We went up to our room because it was very inappropriate for our daughter. They literally stayed out until 130 again, making all sorts of noise. My husband complained about the noise because it was the third night that our daughter was woken up multiple times. They must have went back to their rooms shortly after we finally fell back asleep. We went down for our breakfast the next morning and they had two luggage carts one filled with all sorts of liquor, the other with soda on it. They left a gallon bag of hamburgers on the patio, clothing articles, wine glasses, liquor bottled and all sorts of trash. They had no respect what so ever for any of the property, staff or other guests. Monday morning was a veggie omelette and I got a sausage patty. Overall we were entirely disappointed this whole trip. We drove back to New York and finished our week and I found an email asking for a survey of our stay. This hotel is far below standard for IHG. We will not be back to this location. Horseshoes and corn hole were not available as well, due to COVID. Fitness Center is closed for renovations. (AGAIN STAFF DID NOT TELL US THIS WHEN WE CALLED TO ASK) I would not pay the price I paid for as little as we received. Put some money back into the hotel. The hammocks are so old that our child got on it and was immediately on the ground because they are all stretched out. The gas grill has no bottom on it it is all rusted out. Come on, you can do so much better than this.

My wife and her family went down to Florida and couldn't brag about the stay there. The staff was amazing and wonderful. Patrick, Kelsey, Priscilla, Melvita, Lucy, housekeeping, and the general manager were wonderful. We will recommend this hotel again it was very quiet and the staff were very well mannered. Always welcoming with a smile first thing in the morning and welcoming in the evening. The general manager even calmed a situation down that was occurring in the lobby and had great wonderful service once de-escalation occurred. My family couldn't brag enough about this Hotel.

Simply Wonderful

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the team at the Holiday Inn Express in Trinity, Florida. I have worked in and/or managed customer service and sales teams for over 25 years as well as have extensive experience with hotel stays due to work travel. The team at Trinity compares most favorably to even those at 5-star hotels and resorts. The consistency of their smiles, positivity and sincere hospitality is amazing. I highly recommend staying at this well maintained property!

It is apparent the regular greetings, smiles and conversations that transpire as part of regular interactions between the guests and hotel staff are sincere as they consistently greet each other in a similar, caring manner when arriving to or leaving from work. All employees seemed to approach their roles with an ‘owner mentality’, treating everything as if it were their own business or, more importantly, their own home. The warmth, kindness and positivity displayed by the staff truly set the stage for the day, had a positive influence on guests and was simply a joy to observe.

While I hesitate to include names, for fear of unintentionally excluding someone, I was pleased to have had the opportunity to meet, interact with and get to know many of the employees. I send them my deepest gratitude for their smiles, kindness and hospitality during my time with them—it was a pleasure. Among them are Patrick, Kelsey, Cathy, Bobby, Melita, Lucy, Brittany and Efrain. What an amazing team providing amazing service. Similarly, while I did not get to know them as well or see them quite as frequently, every member of the housekeeping staff were quick with a smile and sincere, “Have a great day!” Winney, Marjorie, Kathleen, Janet, Dianneris and Angel were all so pleasant, provided wonderful, smiling service and kept the rooms neat and clean. I received a pleasant note from each of them during my on-and-off time with them over nearly three months.

In sum, the chemistry of this team is a rare find. Everyone worked to add value to the guest—not just perform tasks within the confines of their ‘job titles’. Management/ownership should be extremely proud of this team, the obvious care they put into their jobs and the positive impact they have on guests each and every day. Thank you all!! I will miss the cookies!!!
