Stayed here Sat night 1/30. Asked for first floor to be close to doors and avoid elevators and stairwells. There was a large group of guests who had 4 or 5 rooms surrounding us who were permitted to leave their doors open by flipping the lock latch and party loudly in multiple rooms and run wildly from one room to another. There are no soft close hinges on the doors so we suffered through literally a thousand bangs over the course of our stay. Not to mention that the doors being left open was not covid safe at all! Carrying on loudly in rooms without masks with the doors open was spreading whatever germs these people might have had all over the hall and there was about a 1.5 inch gap under our door. My husband didn't want me to complain and face retaliation but I did walk down to the lobby to see if the staff could hear what was going on from there and they clearly could but apparently chose not to do anything. Terrible experience. We usually like HI Express, will be opting for another chain going forward.

Not impressed with this hotel. Be aware: we paid extra for a "bayview"' which overlooked the cars in the parking lot right at our window. NO bayview in sight whatsoever! Staff lady checking in was so unfriendly. Room heater was very loud, bed & pillows uncomfortable, and could hear all kinds of noises (showers, doors, people, etc). Only positive was that the breakfast was decent. Will definitely pay extra next time around to stay somewhere nicer and more comfortable.

Twice we were promised a king room bayside. Twice we were not given what was promised. Request to be away from elevator resulted in being right by it both times? Front desk service people were excellent, but management changes our room request even when it is labeled “Do not move.” Staff rating is based on management. Supposedly they must not appreciate our spire elite status and loyalty? Newly updated, great breakfast staff.

We were not aware of the ongoing renovation. What a mess! Upgraded to a larger room because of our membership but it was a handicap room which we didn't need. Broken showerhead, showerliner that was too long and covered the bottom of the tub (very slippery), noisy a/c, Check-in moved into breakfast area so there was only seating enough for 8 people! And there was a painter working nearby. Poor breakfast - pancakes from a machine, no juice, no eggs, no meat - only cereal, bagels and toast. Had to ring bell to bring front desk clerk - she was busy folding towels! Far from the experience we expected for $306 per night! We were given a $50 credit for which we are grateful. We had never stayed at this particular inn before and will never return.

We made our reservation months in advance only to arrive to a hotel under renovations. They first put us in room 307 which had thick dust on everything in the entire room and bathroom. We complained and got moved to 128--which was not our top floor bay view promised room. The workers above worked way past the 6pm quitting time--maybe 9pm--pounding and crashing--even after management went to stop them about 7pm. They were back early the next morning. By chance the next morning I ran into the head of housekeeping who said "you are my movers" (from 307 to 128) and then instead of apologizing for our room being dirty or showing any concern she simply complained about HER extended work hours, etc.--very unprofessional--I don't care about your work hours m'am--I paid over $200 for a room you did not clean. I found all of the front desk staff to be inefficient and unprofessional and worse--uncaring.

I stay in the Holiday Inn chain over 75 nights a year (among others) and the one thing that keeps me coming back is the solid quality and consistency of the experience. You just cannot go wrong with the Holiday Inn Express brand.
While the actual properties and amenities are always excellent regardless of the location (which is the main reason I keep coming back) it is the staff here in Acme that made the difference for me. From Jennifer the front desk manager, to Jo Ellen the General Manager, they made the experience as seamless and pleasant as possible for a road weary business traveller like myself.
The location of this hotel is excellent, right on the water with all the stores and restaurants you could want nearby, but it is also set back far enough from the main road to make the traffic noise non-existent.

Very pleasant staff , recognized as platinum member. Great place to stay for enjoying wineries, brew pubs & fall colors. Small enough property to be comfortable & relax.

Can't say enough good things about the staff. Very friendly and attentive.Helpful providing information on the surrounding area. Quiet location but still near the highway. No complaints about the room once we got the temperature adjusted. Pillows were small but nice to have a selection of firm and soft.

mattress was too hard but all other services during stay were excellent.
