Horrible stay, even worse customer service

I am a very upset and disappointed customer. My entire stay at this hotel was, from beginning to end terrible. The cleanliness of the hotel was not good, as was the customer service. Upon receiving my key to my room, and went to the room to find it not completely closed. After going through the room, I was disgusted with how dirty the room was. There was a half eaten muffin that my 8 month old daughter found on the floor. The ice bucket was dirty and broken. The bathroom shower still had dirt in the shower from the last person that used it, and hair on the shower walls. The windows were not clean when we opened the curtains. The tv remote would not work, so I tried to turn the channel manually on the tv and after swiping my hand across the tv, dirt literally fell from the tv onto the counter. I spoke with the person at the front desk who told me that if I decided to leave, I would not get a refund and would be out of my entire $750 I paid for my stay. My family tried to use the hotel pool the next day, and you could clearly tell that the pool hadn’t been clean in a while. As if that weren’t enough, on the day of checkout, the front desk calls the room at 6:50a saying that they’ve charged a $80+ pet fee for a pet I don’t have, continued to argue with me about and was rude to the point of hanging up on me. After going downstairs to speak with the person, I realized that the hotel had made the mistake of charging my card to a room I didn’t have and someone else card for mine. After speaking with the manager, Kajal Patel, she rudely told me that it was my fault for not discovering it sooner, and I was pretty much out of the extra money charged. In her words, she said “ you people always have a problem with something, then don’t want to let us do our job”. In many words, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel and do not want anyone to ever have to go through what I did. I hope something can be done about this. Thank you

Comfort

I stayed here for two nights for a business trip. It was comfortable. The staff were very accommodating. The breakfast was good. The business center was a big help. (Computer and Printer available). I asked for a very things and the staff immediately had them delivered to my room. The room had two double beds, tv, desk, coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave and blow dryer. If you’re looking for comfort, this is the place. Plenty of restaurants nearby and drive through for the fast food person.

Never again

Had reservations for 3 nights. Husband became very ill first night and we had to check out and head home. We explained our situation to the hotel clerk. She was very understanding and explained we had booked through a 3rd party and we would have to pay the full amount. She undersood our plight and provided us with a credit and a receipt. Later, the hotel reversed the credit and charged us the full amount.
We called the hotel directly and they were completely heartless.
My husband has cancer and they didn't care.
I will never stay at any hotel associated with this company again.
In addition to the above, the room was not ready, they had 1 person to clean all rooms. Ours was not proberly cleaned.

Outstanding service!

We were in town for the funeral of my 24 year old daughter, after a 11 hour drive we arrived and were greeted by Tracey and Nelson, who treated us with such compassion it was overwhelming. Nelson even helped with my tie! That evening we also met Michelle, who again helped us with suggestions to get a quick bite to eat at 10 p.m. On any future trips to Georgia we will most definitely be staying again. The room was spotless and comfortable as is the entire hotel. There is nothing I could even suggest to make the hotel any better. Again, we would like to thank Tracey, Nelson and Michelle. Hold on to these folks because you would not be able to find a better staff! A great team, all three deserve Employee of the Year awards!!

The duty manager stated "don't worry, I'll take care of you" after discussing the issues we had during our night of occupancy. However, the comps he promised have not yet materialized. What is a reasonable time to wait for them before I make this a bigger issue?

Not my best stay

I recently stayed in your Holiday in and was a bit disappointed with the room. I stayed in Room 200 for 3 nights. The room has a moldy smell and is very damp feeling. It felt like I was sleeping in a wet bed.

I also had trouble with the electrical outlets, the one in the bathroom did not work at all and each time I used the hair dryer inthe outlet in the foyer area by the small fridge, the circuit would blow. I had to have it reset by the staff.

The bath towels had stains on them and the bathroom was not cleaned as there was trash under neith the counter.

I was also told when making my reservation that I could not use my IHG Rewwards card due to the fact there was only one room left. I don't understand why that had anything to do with it.

Your staff on the other hand were great, friendly, and very helpful during my stay.

Recommend for 1 night only!

Just spent 4 nights in this hotel and if there had been another hotel within 15 miles we would have moved night 1. The beds were the only good thing about this hotel. One day was our room actually "cleaned" and by cleaned I mean new (less dirty, pictures being sent to Holiday Inn) towels were replaced and 1 of 2 beds were made (not changed sheets). Yes you read that right, they made ONE of TWO beds??? I delivered the overflowing trash cans to the front desk one day 2 which in turn I was provided with new trash bags so I could put them in the cans. The staff is unfamiliar with what customer service is (except for one nice lady who works days but is not empowered by ownership to do anything but be nice). It is Memorial Day weekend 90's and sunny all days we were there and the pool is still not open... If you have to be in this town then this is your only option, but I will say there are other hotels 12mi & 15mi away, if you can travel that distance everyday, do that. Management should be put through a hospitality class before being allowed to screw this new hotel up.
