Tolled Mitarbeiter

Wir haben unsere Hochzeitsnacht auf dem Weg nach Paris hier verbracht und der Mitarbeiter Sibe hat wirklich alles getan damit wir einen tollen Start in die Flitterwochen hatten. Wir waren total begeistert von ihm! der gesamte Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen, gut geschlafen (ruhig) schön gefrühstückt, schön gelegenes Hotel. Wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen.

Nice hotel and not so expensive. the only problem is that we go every year to the same hotel and the breakfast is 100% the same... I would like a bit more variety... but everything is Ok in the hotel! Good location and nice staff

Concerning your point about the breakfast we want to let you know that a breakfast in any Holiday Inn Express is the same. It is free in every Holiday Inn Express and it is up to the standards of that kind of hotel. Therefor it leaves us little room to change items. Sorry for that! 1- Make the connection possible to the play station you are family hotel and play station is with every child .

2- Sofa bed is very good idea but the materials on it (bed cloth ....) are very poor ..you can feel the metals .

3-We arrive 1:30 pm then we had to wait until 2:00 pm to get our rooms .. why? only for the rules ..is it logic ? be more kind and generous .

GOOD CHOISE

First of all I have to say that Holiday Inn Express in Hasselt is a typical hotel of it's kind, and that is why I don't understand many of the complaints mentioned by other rewiers. During our visit reconstuction works took place in reception, breakfast and bar areas, so we were not bothered during our sleep there (we had rooms in 3rd floor). Thats why the management gave us a voucher allowed us to have breakfast in the nearby Holiday Inn (without a price supplement) which was really an offer. Rooms are very clean, and have whatever to be expected form HI Express hotels. My only suggestion is that you have to renew your towels (I think that they are overused). Also the hotels location is very good near Hasselts center. I hope that we will back soon there.

Hotel remodeling was in process and management made poor decisions.

I am a consultant and many of the companies I work with have Holiday Inns as their preferred hotels. I enjoy the opportunity to stay at your hotels. However, this particular experience was not good. My family was on a two week vacation in Europe and had booked our room for two nights. We looked forward to spending two nights at one hotel where we would not have to pack and unpack everyday. However, due to the Holiday Inn Express remodeling project in Hasselt, we were expected to transfer to the Holiday Inn for the second night's stay. Now, this would have been an upgrade, but like I said, we just needed a break. At the time of our stay, a charity bike ride was also going on and many of the riders were staying at both of the Holdiay Inn hotels in Hasselt. It is unfortunate that management didn't book the guests planning longer stays into the the Holiday Inn and book the one-night guests in the Holiday Inn Express. Anyway, because of the remodeling hassels, we cancelled our second night's stay and went on to the next town. We thought that management handled this very poorly.

Not suitable for families

We stayed with our child for a night but it didn't met our standards as a family.
Staff and service were excellent, no complain about it.
However, the room was very small and the sofa (transformed into bed) was not suitable for sleep (it was split into 3 unequal portions which made it difficult to sleep).
I mistakenly thought that there would be a refrigerator in the room but there wasn't, so we could not have something kept fresh for the child; I guess this is my fault by overlooking this facility but I would expect this to be in the standard equipment.
The night was dreadful, since there were people coming in at 12:00 and others at 4:30! The sound isolation was non-existent so we actually did not sleep.
Breakfast was decent, as expected.

The concept of Express hotels is ‘just what you need when you are on the move”. Bigger beds, closets, refrigerator, … would take extra space from the room. However for Hasselt we have our sister hotel, Holiday Inn Hasselt, just 150 meters from the Holiday Inn Express hotels. The price of course is higher for this 4 stars hotel but would meet your expectations for travelling with your family. Thank you for mentioning that you liked the breakfast and the friendliness of our staff.
