I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express locations. This was my best experience!!
Josh, the young gentleman working at the front desk when I checked in, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The physical property was beautiful. It was positioned on top of a large "hill" that overlooked the small town below. The blue uplights on the building made it easy to see at night, which helped as I arrived late.
The check-in and checkout process couldn't have been easier, and my request for a late checkout was granted with no reservations.
Grossly Overpriced - Blatant Price Gouging

We will not stay at this hotel again.
Grossly overpriced. Our charge for a 1 night stay in their average Holiday Inn Express Room with 2 beds and no tub was $342.00.
We didn't pay THAT much for a room at the Marathon Florida Key Holiday Inn Express at the height of the 2018 tourist season.
This Holiday Inn Express was grossly over-priced for an aging, average, Holiday Inn Express with a slow, creaky elevator and overworked, overstretched staff.
If we again have a reason to visit this area, we will be sure to find alternative lodging. We're told there are nice, reasonably priced Bed & Breakfasts in the West Jefferson, NC area.
