Simple Clean Hotel - No bells or whistles

Hotel guest rooms could use more lighting - check toilet paper rolls when you get to your room - make sure they
"spin" easily. Call ahead for a room on 2nd floor or higher to feel more "safe" than on the first floor. Make sure you bring your bathroom items because there is no Sundry Shop. The weekend we stayed the hotel was a little pricey compared to other weekends - for sure based on demand.

Front desk night representative is very nice guy...helped out a bunch and was quick to it. Very nice person.

Cleaning staff

I was far from happy about my rooms daily cleanliness! The picture attached was what I came back to after a day of work! Also, the noise in the hotel made it hard to get comfortable and sleep.

Business Travel

First visit to the Lexington/Nicholasville site back in june/july was a terrible experience. Staff was untrained and rude, but gave another chance and all has been well.
I plan to stay 40-50 nights over the next 12 months.

Overall the hotel was excellent with the few exceptions noted in the survey. The staff was excellent and attentive. Would recommend this hotel to those visiting the Lexington area.

Friendly Staff and Clean rooms

I spent four nights here and would stay here again. The staff was very friendly and my room was always clean. The fitness center could use a new treadmill and the weight machine was awaiting repair. Overall the stay was great. The one drawback was the auto thermostat that functioned on movement. I slept well but woke up hot and sweaty.

Friendly GREAT staff

Every staff person greeted us with a smile and a greeting regardless of where we were: Lobby, dining area, hallway, maintenence, everywhere. Everyone was SO happy and friendly and courteous. The pool was GREAT and breakfast was excellent. A GREAT stay.

Stay was average

Friendly staff, clean room. Breakfast was good but the eggs were rubbery. At night, the outside security light was bright even with the curtains closed. During the day, the air conditioner turns off so when you return the room is warm.

Motion detectors for a/c are a joke, whole floor smelled like a cigarrette

Stayed on Friday night and attended the 4H Shooting Sports state tournament on Sat. When we stepped off the elevator it smelled like a giant cigarrette. We were told there were two rooms on our hall that were being used by a family thats home had burned and they were allowing them to smoke. Thats strange because that block was suppost to be for the tournament and some of our families called for rooms and were told it was full. These are athelets and they did not need to be subjected to this before the biggest meet of the year. My daughter had a headache and my lips were swollen and burning. There was nowhere else to go or we would have left.

Could not sleep because it was so hot in the room. We were told by the front desk that the motion detector resets the thermostat to 72 when there is no movement, but even when we were moving it was hot in the room.

Stayed the next night in Nicholasville and the Holiday Inn there was great. We will stay both years at Nicholasville

poor hvac

place is nice and clean the staff is great but the hvac needs much improvement the rooms are hot .the air cuts it self off to save money and I can not sleep in a hot sticky room.

Beware of motion sensing temperature control

As the title says, beware of the motion sensing temperature control. If it is a hot day, your AC run until you go to sleep, and unless you are an unusually restless sleeper, the motion sensing system will turn off your temperature control. I stayed there a few days for business and woke up more than once with a room that was 80 F. It was not pleasant, as I was travelling for business.

Overall, its a HIE, the staff is nice.
