Dirty and Damp

We arrived at 11:30pm with 2 tired kids- one asleep. Upon entering the room it smelled musty and felt damp. The shelf holding the microwave was broken, lampshade hanging below the bulb. All corners in the bathroom looked mildewed. The beds looked clean, so We went to bed. The phone started beeping in the middle of the night so we unplugged it. In the morning we noticed handprints on the picture hanging near the bed. One of the lights in the bathroom only worked half the time. At breakfast there were no lids for the coffee cups and the trash can was overflowing. Bagel my son tried to eat was stale. Will not return to this hotel. We stay at Holiday Inn Express often and this was the worst we have encountered.

This is why I would like my money back

Our first impression was a nice and helpful staff, but then we parked near the pool, and it looked green.
One of the key cards did not work, and the elevator was very old and klunky. Our door latch was hard to open and would barely close. There was one very small trash can for the whole room, none in bathroom. Coffee machine was not operable and the 2 packaged creamer/stirrer packages were opened and parts were missing.
My husband uses a cane, and the toilet was so low he could barely get up. The sink was slow draining.There was mildew stains on ceiling tiles, grout and the tub was stained. We were not made aware of the "hidden" microwave and fridge. We didn't discover until we were checking out. The breakfast was as if it was made the day before, but the coffee was good.

Comfortable

Overall comfortable and good location. But, the swimming pool was closed 2-days of our 3-day stay due to an order from City of Knoxville as being unsafe. The desk explained that it was a low chlorine count. That is not a satisfactory excuse because all pools have a way to keep the count in the safe region. This is a lack of attention by the hotel management. We stayed at this hotel with our two grandsons because of the pool. Not having it avaiablle was a big disappointment.

Wedding trip

Staff were great and so helpful. The desk clerk helped me find a mall to take our teen granddaughter to during some down time. Room smaller a bit cramped for 3 luggage pieces. Beds comfy! Breakfast area small, crowded at times. Would stay here again.

Awesome shower!!!!

I need to know the brand/model of the showerhead!!! Wow. I didn't want to leave. The beds appeared to be comfortable, but I ended up tossing and turning all night. Maybe it was something other than the bed that caused that? Clean, friendly staff, nice outdoor pool area. I'd definitely stay again and recommend to anyone traveling on 75!

friendly staff but need directional training. unable to give precise directions. bathroom possible mold problems on ceiling and insufficeint air exhaust .tables not kept up for cleanliness. these are small issues that could cause problems. hard to keep up but still good place to stay. no smoking in front of building please. walked through a cloud upon entering!!!!!

I like a firm bed.
I like a quiet room.
I like a useful desk (with plugs) with solid Wi-Fi.
I like quiet air conditioner/heater units.
I like a clean room.
I like a TV that has my channels.
I like a bathroom that looks like it was just built.
I like a breakfast that fills me up.
I like a staff that smiles and takes good care.
I like convenience.
I am one tough customer with tough standards.

Friendly Staff, Clean Hotel and easy check-in/check-out

The hotel staff are friendly, helpful and recommended excellent restaruants near by. The hotel rooms and common areas are well maintained and clean. The breakfast food area and tables were kept cleaned and the food replenished quickly; with quite a variety of food choices. Beds and pillows were comfortable, no hallway or outdoor noice to keep us awake...got a great nights sleep.

Holiday Inn Express Missed

Great location and great staff, however they did not greet me as a preferred member nor was I offered the member perks. Other than that ... great as always!

Good Place to Stay

This is a typical HIE, complete with all that I have come to expect from a HIE - as far as amenities and room comfort go. I was greeted as an IHG rewards club member, but was told that they were out of water (I had to go the fitness room and fill my own bottle, along with a few cups - not a huge deal, but …) and there was no "welcome" gift bag or other sort of welcome treat - which I've come to expect when I stay at HIEs. Overall, a very nice place to stay - clean, comfortable and welcoming. But the added extra touches were missing.
