Hard to deal with

This hotel was a very fine hotel. Just to bad that they didn’t charge us what we had a confirmation for. We were over charged by over 200.00$ and we tried to get this corrected but they wouldn’t call us back and IHG told us the hotel is the one to make the adjustment and the GM said that we had to take it up with IHG. Sad part was we reserved 3 rooms and all were over charged. Must have better communication skills or it won’t matter how nice your hotel is.

Quality has dropped

I do not write many reviews, but I have to say something so maybe things can change, this is only like a year old facility. First off, the turn over here is crazy, they apparently can not keep people here. Marie and Mark were great and of course long gone and the new people are not trained properly to even understand that if you extend a night that your keys have to be reprogrammed, as a guess I knew this... but they didn't. Then on this visit, I actually seen a bug on the wall in my room. It was crawling above the picture. I killed it and it was definitely a roach (room 324). I understand not cleaning the rooms because of Covid... but now they are going to have a bug infestation.... The other major disappointment is they offer free high speed internet in your room.... its a freaking joke, I did a speed test and it was less than 8 mbps, internet speed is a reason I stopped staying at another hotel. My app actually closed because it took too long to open.... and there is only like 10 cars even staying here... so it is not like the place is "packed". Then at 5:30am someone though it was a good time to scrape....and I mean scrape the parking lot with a front end loader....this went on for over 40 minutes. I was here with 4 other business men and we were all awoken by this. The worst part, there was nothing on the ground to remove and looking out the window you could see the sparks from it scaping across the pavement. I was staying here for the quality and location, but I can just as easily go back to Frankfort or Lexington. A Platinum member should have better service than this.

Worst hotel experience

This hotel forever changed my hotel experience in a negative way. I’m so disappointed in the cleanliness of the floors. We walked in from a day of driving with a one year old to find three large toenails on the floor in plain view, 4 hard piece of plastic that my little one would have choked on. It looked like either they have always forgotten to vacuum the floor or the vacuum blew up on the carpet. After being there for about 30 minutes all of our feet were black from dirt. I felt so bad for my baby that had been crawling on that floor. I took pictures because I was so disgusted. Never again holiday inn express!

Frustrated IHG Member

When we arrived after the 3 pm check in, there was a line. It took us 45 minutes to check in. There was only one person on staff at the front desk! After a long trip, that is one of the last things that you expect.
Breakfast was the typical of what you are accustomed to with Holiday Inn. Our second day, no maid service, no clean towels. When we left for the day, the maid was cleaning the room two doors down. When my husband inquired, we were told that they were short staffed. He said we would at least like some clean towels, this was around 6 pm. Around 8 pm we received clean towels. The gentleman on staff that night informed us that due to our inconvenience he was going to provide us with a $30.00 credit. The next morning, at checkout. No one was at the front desk, I had to go to housekeeping to find anyone. The lady in housekeeping was going to check us out and then another lady came from the back, she was on her cell, and proceeded with check us out. I noticed when the receipt was printed the $30.00 credit was not reflected. When I inquired, she then told me that she could not credit our account $30.00, she could credit it $20.00. I declined out of pure frustration and feeling that it was pointless. What kind of place are you running? We left. Needless to say, for the first time, we were totally disappointed in a Holiday Inn.

Vacation

This was a very nice hotel and was centrally located to all attractions. The beds were very comfortable.
My only complaint is that I reserved a king room and was told upon check in that no king rooms were available. I travel a lot and never had this happen. The desk clerk gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants.
