Great front desk staff, that’s about where the good stuff ends

The young lady that checked us in was fast, efficient, and a sweetheart. But the hotel was in so much need of repair and cleaning. Our beds had clearly been laid on. There was food on the floor. The light over the shower didn’t work, and the floor lamp was missing a light bulb all together. The buffet breakfast consisted of bread in the bag, as well a bag of bagels in the bag. No hot food made. We’re told there weren’t enough guests to make breakfast. Was to say at best, a very disappointing stay.

Lack of housekeeping

After the first night there, came back to room to find it had not been cleaned. Could not call front desk because phone did not work. Went to front desk who told me I should’ve been told upon check (which I was not) that housekeeping is not provided daily. Unfortunately, there is a sign in bathroom that if you want new towels, throw the used ones on the floor, which we did. If there can be a written sign for that, there should probably be one that says housekeeping not provided daily. Also, supplies provided were not sufficient if housekeeping doesn’t come daily. Had to resort to using Kleenex, cups and hand sanitizer we brought with us. Soap was the size of a nickel after 2 nights and no extras left. The small garbages were overflowing and 2 paper cups and 2 k cups were all we got for 2 nights stay. Hotel and room looked new and clean, however bathroom looked much older, grout was sloppy and dirty, floor had dirt in corners

Excellent Customer Service

We received excellent customer service from Jenna Johnson. An asset to your organization.
We were treated very poorly by Candlewood Suites. We had a confirmed reservation, that they also had on file, but did not have a room for us. They offered no assistance to help us find a room.
We tried Holiday Inn Express and had an excellent experience with Jenna Johnson. She gave us a room and even provided a recommendation for dinner.
Thank you. It was a blessing and comforting after a long difficult day.

Scam charges

I booked this hotel through Travelocity.com only to have the hotel charge me an additional two times for the same, one-night stay.
After making four attempts to reach management, someone called me back nearly a month later. My claim was "elevated" but I only received half of the overage I was owed. There is a serious disconnect between the booking sites and the hotel payment system.
If you stay here, get a receipt and check your credit card statement carefully. There's some really shady stuff going on here.

Clean, Comfortabe and friendly staff

We stayed on Aug 17, 2019 and we were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They have a very nice breakfast bar with a little bit of everything.The staff always had a friendly greetings for us and was helpful when we needed anything. We have family in the area so will be staying again.

Not much choice in Belle Vernon

I would have lived with the hard bed, but there were noisy partiers at 3-4 a.m. and my complaints to front desk brought no relief. I almost left the hotel. This property is new and so everything is clean, but I did not get a good night's rest.

Great service, nice location, friendly staff, good breakfast.
Only issue i had was poor internet reception. Internet connectivity was spotty at best. I had significant issues connecting my smartphone to the internet and had issues with speed on my laptop. Management should consider increasing their internet infrastructure to support the size of the property and ensure that all guest rooms have proper coverage.

When traveling if available I always stay at Holiday Inn Express and they never let me down. I always stay the at the one in Belle Vernon . The rooms are clean and the staff is amazing and I just feel like I am at home. Cant go wrong with this one. Great loaction
