We were in the city for a medical appointment for my husband, and the clerk at the desk was very friendly and and accommodating. Our room was spotless, and I love the Watkins shampoo/conditioner/body wash options supplied.
However, although I realize that things look differently due to Covid-19, the Grab-and-Go breakfast option would have been perfect if we were maybe 7 years old. It consisted of a sugar-filled breakfast containing Froot Loops, Nutri-Grain bar, a juice box, and a fruit cup. PLEASE offer more "adult oriented" options. We ended up having to pick up breakfast elsewhere.

Customer service is all about serving customers and your staff did just that! What a comfortable and pleasant stay. I gave a 5 star rating because it was just that. Comfortable, clean and great staff! In particular I want to mention Carol at the front desk. I didn't communicate properly with her and she had to fix a problem because of this. She remained calm. I would have been flustered! She kindly and patiently worked through the issue. A real asset to your hotel. Everyone there was great. We enjoyed our stay very much.
While there was construction going on to improve the rooms we were never bothered by it. We would stay there again!

This is the second year in a row we've stayed at this property. Last year, i had asked to recommend a hotel for Saskatoon and i mentioned this one as I was an IHG member and had good experiences with holiday inns,.
I've stayed at various holiday inn and holiday inn express throughout western Canada and I have to say the customer experience at this property is at the bottom of the list.
This year the hotel was booked by the team manager, so I thought what the heck maybe things have changed for the better. Unfortunately not so much.
Upon check in, the front desk staff said that for being an IHG gold member that I had my choice of welcome amenities and was asked what I would like. The staff didn't provide the options of what was available, so I just said I'll take the points.
The room, we had, itself had a view of the train track located across the parking lot was relatively clean except for the peeling paint in the bathroom. The hotel itself is going through the needed renovations. Last year I had what i considered a serious issue (i.e. deadbolt missing in the door the to connecting room)that i don't believe the hotel staff handled very well either.
The breakfast bar seemed to always have something missing be it milk or the pancake maker not in service/out of batter, this happened both mornings we went for breakfast, One morning in particular I had gone in there with my son and he wanted to make some pancakes but the machine didn't have batter and the error on the screen said replace belt. Meanwhile two of the kitchen staff were standing a few feet away from it chatting away. I had to ask them to refill it and they told me it would take 6 or 8 minutes to get done. not a long time to wait, but, why not do a quick check to make sure guests don't have to wait, especially if they are in a hurry.
On our final day, due to the schedule of the tournament I wanted to get a late checkout which i was informed by the front desk was not available due to us checking in on a group booking. I mentioned that i was an IHG Gold member and was told that since i booked in under the group that it was not available. I then asked if i had booked separately if late check out would be available and the response was yes.
This makes absolutely no sense to me as to why this is not available or why I should continue to be an IHG loyalty member if perks/benefits of the program can be subjectively removed even though the availability is there.
Ultimately, If I have any influence or asked for recommendations on where we stay during group events or personal events in Saskatoon, I'll look for and recommend a different hotel where I have a loyalty card as well, where we've had better experiences.

Had a good relaxing stay at this hotel. The breakfast was good with several options. The did cancel my stay by mistake but corrected when I arrived.

the holiday inn express is a clean, welcoming environment. Beds are Super comfy and the staff are helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast has so much selection it is simply perfect for Adults and Children.

I would like to apologize for you not having a seamless stay at our property. We do have poolside rooms at our hotel and while some guests enjoy looking out at the pool it is not a good fit for all. This hotel was very close to relatives and we were able to walk to and fro. The hotel was very clean, quiet, well equipped and all round convenient. We were able to use the pool with our two young relatives. The breakfasts were wonderful and had so many choices. My husband particularly enjoyed the pancake maker. The room was large and comfortable with a great bed. Overall we had an amazing experience with Holiday Inn Express - Saskatoon. I would highly recommend this hotel should you ever visit Saskatoon.

Although the hotel is starting to have some aging, the hotel was working on renovations while we were there. That was never in our way though and our guestroom and bed was very clean. We stayed in the Executive King Suite, which was great to put our little one to bed in a private area on the hide-a-bed, while we could enjoy the soaker tub and tv on our side of the closed doors. Would recommend the hotel for business or leisure.

Hotel is clean and staff hard working and friendly. Lacks convenient restaurant for dinner and on-site "market", of any kind. If you have your own car you can drive somewhere for these services. If you're taking cabs you will be very limited in your choices.

Enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn Express and appreciated the upgrade to my room when I arrived. It was a very pleasant surprise! Appreciated the complimentary breakfast - great food!
