Room was not clean

When we arrived the Staff at the front desk was very nice and accommodating…would go out of their way to do anything we asked. The Bathroom floor in our room was filthy dirty. I spilt some water on the floor and instead of using a washcloth or towel I used some Kleenex and it was black from me wiping it. So that tells me it was not mopped.. They do not deliver fresh towel unless you ask for it, no coffee or creamer, cups etc unless you ask for it and did not clean room in the 5 nights we stayed. For the price of 161.00 for this hotel was a bit pricy for what we got. Never got new bars of soap either. The staff was excellent but the room was not worth the money we paid. They used the excuse Covid as the reason for not cleaning the rooms unless it is requested…to me sanitation is the best defense against Covid. Next time we will be staying in Mississippi just a 6 or 7 Mile trip past Graceland.

We weren’t given a room key as they were having problems with the key card machine. the staff member had to take us to the room to unlock the door. After he left our room we found there was no hand soap on the vanity and the previous guests garbage was left in the waste paper cans. Since it was late, we just used shower wash and ignored the garbage. It was inconvenient to not have a key the next morning when we wanted to have breakfast. On a positive note, the shuttle driver was very friendly and helpful!

No security-gunfire and break-ins

I started staying here when it first opened and have done so twice a year since. It was great in the beginning but has steadily gone downhill. We were sitting out back chatting one night when we heard gun shots in the wooded area. Then a bullet came flying right by us so we scattered and ran inside. To add to that, the security gates were wide open all night. The entrance gate was never closed the entire time we were there. We checked out two days early because of all this and will find another place to stay next year. It's just too dangerous and no one seems to care. I want to give kudos to Gerald (maintenance). He was terrific! And the poor guy who was left alone running the front desk on Sat. night. He left the hotel to pick up people twice and the hotel was wide open.

Very thoughtful Assistant Manager, Flo

Easy check in and check out. Clean and sanitized room. Visiting Graceland for wife's birthday. Went to front desk for restaurant recommendation. Met Flo, Assistant Manager, who sang happy birthday to my wife. (Another guest heard her and came over saying it was also her birthday. She received a happy birthday song too!)

Flo asked what we wanted to eat and said there was a restaurant close by that would pick us up in a pink limo and they had fantastic food (Marlowe's BBQ). Within 15 minutes, the limo was there. Great food and such a fun experience. We would not have known about this unless Flo had told us. She was SO helpful.

When we came down for breakfast the next morning, Flo greeted us with her beautiful smile and asked about our evening. I told her I did not feel that everything she did for us was just part of her job - I felt it was her nature to be helpful to others. She made our stay wonderful and made us feel she was happy to be of service to us.

After we parked our vehicle in the gated parking lot, we used the shuttle for all our trips. Very good experience. Our only concern was the pool was directly outside our room so we did have some noise and then people coming in late at night were very noisy. Not the hotel's fault though.

The staff was over-the-top discourteous, unfriendly, unhospitable, RUDE... all during check-in!

Once in the room, we discovered dead bugs in the corners, on the window ledge and around the baseboards. There was a strange odor (bug spray maybe?) the tile floor was sticky and the linens were stale. We thought to request a refund or a different room, but based on our check-in experience, we knew it would be a lost cause. Sucked it up, stayed the one night and hit the road early the next day.

Figured the best we could do is warn others in reviews, and hopefully IHG corporate pays attention. It's abundantly apparent management at this property is failing miserably. Awful.

Too many problems for a relatively new hotel

We decided to stay here because of the close distance to our planned event the following day. We were anticipating a different experience given the good reviews we had read on several sites. Overall, the facility was nice and the room was spacious, however there were a number of items that were damaged or poor quality despite the fact that this hotel is fairly new. We were only booked for one night and had already unpacked, so we did not request alternate accommodations during the stay. Upon arrival, we noted that the thermostat display did not work properly which did not allow us to modify the temperature settings in the room. We placed a call to the front desk who assured us that they would return the call within 5 minutes, but failed to do so. Secondly, the desk chair was not usable at all because the seat back was broken and missing. Furthermore, the shower drained slowly during a normal 10-15 minute shower resulting in the water backing up to the ankles. Lastly, the ice bucket was a cardboard tube with a flimsy plastic piece inserted into the bottom. This bottom pops out when the paper gets wet with condensation from the ice which would be expected to happen with normal use. On a positive note, the lady taking care of breakfast in the morning was very friendly and helpful.

Bernie very nice!

Brian shuttle driver great!

Lisa prepared an awesome breakfast!

Not sure of the shuttle driver's name that picked two of us from the airport, however he truly went out of his way to make us comfortable and feel at home. Can he get a raise!! Bald hair cut with salt and pepper goatee!

General Manager was awesome and very accommodating to the group in general.
