Will Not Recommend Hotel

At check-in we were told they overbooked and our 2 bedroom reservation was cancelled. We were staying at this hotel for a team event. It was not just us that had our reservations cancelled. I booked our room through this IHG website, but they claimed I booked through getaroom.com (never heard of this site). Not sure how this happens when booking through IHG site (this site) I'm writing the review. After waiting for over an hour and pushing for a room - they did give us 2 king suite rooms to make up for no 2 bedrooms.
Jourelle at the front desk was great! I felt bad for Jourelle because he is the one delivering all the bad news to upset guests. Ashley the GM was not friendly and had an attitude at first then called me back to her office and apologized, etc.
If the hotel was overbooked, how were they able to give people other rooms on the spot??? And, there were maybe 20 cars in the parking lot. I understand everyone is short staffed due to Covid, but this experience was terrible.
After checking into our room - it had dried food on the stove top, hair in the bed under the sheet, gross bathroom (enough said), tv did not work, etc.
I was told by a staff member that they do not book the 2 bedroom units because they have employees from LG that stay for long periods of time and they do not want to move them from the 2 bedroom units.
When a family asked if they could stay an extra night they were told no because they were booked ??? They went to another hotel down the road and got a room.
Overall experience was not good. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. I am also calling corporate to discuss our experience.

Excellent staff

The new general manager, Ashley is doing a fantastic job with updates and renewing the Staybridge experience, bringing guest interaction back to life. Chris and Amber are great to socialize with and have top tier customer service. They always go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. Christina has brought variety to the Social supper's giving a home away from home atmosphere . Being 1500 miles away, these folks have made my stay more than what I could ask, and far exceeded my expectations. 10/10, I would recommend this place to anyone.

A Wonderful Stay!

Came down for a quick first time trip to the Holland area to help celebrate a birthday. Unbeknownst to the birthday celebrant, a close friend reached out to a staff member and together they were able to arrange a floral & balloon delivery to our room as a surprise. Kudos to Chris for arranging everything! He was the best (as our family friend explained to us later). We thought he was great at check-in, too. You have a gem of an employee there, Staybridge!

We had a great time, the room was wonderful! the best sleep ever---that bed was so comfy!

Everyone was pleasant to deal with which is a credit to your staff. We will definitely be back!

Five night stay at Very Average Hotel with Dogs Everywhere

I will start by stating there was nothing really bad about this facility. It was average in many ways. There just was nothing extraordinary about it to make me want to return.
The rooms looked either remodeled or the facility was newer. The quality of the workmanship, was poor. Interior doors don't stay closed, There also appeared to be furniture missing in our room. there were not end table next to the couch. In fact the only thing in the living area was a couch. There was a night stand in between the beds, but in the other bedroom where there was one bed, no nightstand at all.
This is a 'pet friendly' hotel. They make a big point of this. The problem is that any and all rooms could have had a pet present with the former guest of that room. They do not designate specific rooms! Pet hair in our room was a common sight. I am a dog owner but would not torture my dog by taking him along for a hot summer trip. Dogs were commonly seen throughout the hotel. Everywhere. Barking from behind doors was common. The place needs better clearing. I question the pets in all rooms policy.

Great stay at a Staybridge Hotel

I stayed 2 nights at this property and was completely satisfied with my stay. I go to Holland once a year for a few days and have always stayed at the Holiday on Felch St. My last stay at the Holiday Inn was disappointing. I had no idea a new IHG Property was built as I didn't travel during the pandemic. This was my 1st stay at a Staybridge and it won't be my last. The staff was wonderful, especially Max who checks us in. He was friendly and enthusiastic. The room a King Junior Suite was perfect for my needs and you can't be the location for getting to all the sights of Holland. The breakfast was good and plentiful as well an evening reception with snacks and drinks on Mon and Tues. I can't wait to go back.

Poor customer service

Stayed here last summer and loved it. Stayed again this May during Tulip Festival, and I think management must have changed--had a very poor experience. Check in took forever--evening attendant was not even at front for good 20 minutes, we had to just stand and wait for her, with overtired kids. She was completely not helpful, and argumentative. Requested an extra blanket for sofa bed, since one was missing in our room. She proceeded to bring us a dirty blanket, with stains on it, and then argued that it was clean. Said no other blankets were available in the entire hotel. I actually had to go out to Target next door at ten o'clock at night, and buy a clean blanket, so my kid can sleep that night. Breakfast was advertised as hot, but there were absolutely no hot items available, and very limited selection of cold items, on the weekend we stayed there. Brought this up to manager's attention in the morning, and she could not care less. Very bummed about this, because hotel has a very convenient location, and is pet friendly--I was totally planning on staying there every time when in Holland area.

Pros and cons

Pros: Place was very nice and clean.Its close to shops and restaurants. Staffs were very friendly.
Cons: I booked through a third party through their website it says a certain fee to have your furry friend with you, when we got there the front desk says it's changed to more than double the fee per pet per stay. Also, their website says there is a rolling bed available if needed.for your comfort. I called down asking for that and the front desk says they do not have/offer that. So the suit that was given for 4 would really be comfortable for just 3 .
Not sure if there was a miscommunication between that third party and Staybridge or what. But next time I would just call Staybridge directly and ask.
