Some good aspects, some not so good

I got a discounted rate so I was satisfied, but had I been paying full price there would have been things that bothered me. First, the pros: The hotel is neat, clean, and attractive. The breakfast is great. The man at the front desk was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. The kitchenette is a nice convenience. The fitness room has a good variety of work-out equipment and the machines are all fully functional.

The cons: No parking available close to the hotel at times. No conditioner in the shower. There was nothing other than dry towels to clean off the workout equipment in the fitness room; some sanitizing spray or cleansing wipes would be helpful in the age of Covid. Both lights near the bed flickered on and off, sometimes staying off for 5 minutes at a time. The heater didn't work properly and the room was cold. . Key cards were easily inactivated. There were bags of ground coffee in room, but no coffee maker (coffee was available in the dining room, however). The carts used to transport luggage to and from the car were very small, necessitating multiple trips.

Front Desk attendant

I am a prof businessman on a local project, staying here for the last 8 mo's. Four acquaintances and I brought pizza to the TV room at 6:00 pm hoping to watch the news and election results start to come in Tue. evening. Attendant shut off the TV, took the remote and asked that we watch in our rooms. He stated "the hotel" decided it would not be appropriate programming to watch due to the controversy with this election year. I informed him we would gladly change programming if anyone came in and objected (we were the only one's there, as the lights in the room weren't even on when we entered). No dice. This was embarrassing and demeaning. We were basically told we weren't mature enough to watch the news without risk of offending someone. I have never complained, written a review like this and always overlooked any mistakes made by the hotel. This incident was just too much to ignore and completely unfounded.

Picked this place because it was dog-friendly (and up to 80 pounds!), Also got a great discount via State Farm. Quite pleased by it. Very clean, quiet.

Our Favorite Hotel Ever

Coming for 4 years with our dogs (2), it is more like a little apartment than a hotel, amenities are all you could ask for, staff is friendly, food is fresh and available for breakfast and dinner - just a great place to stay. Beds are comfortable too.

Charged $50 early departure fee

I travel all the time for work and my schedule changes daily. I booked my room for 3 nights but I only needed to stay for 2 due to my work schedule changing. I told the front desk first thing in the morning that I would not be staying the last night. I was told that I would be charged a $50 early departure fee and there was nothing they could do about it and it was company policy. I check out of hotels early all the time since my schedule is constantly changing and this has never happened before. I really did like your hotel and enjoyed my stay but since this is your policy I will not be staying at Staybridge Suites anymore. I was also told by the manager that this happens all the time and that everyone is shocked when they hear this. This sounds like an issue that needs to be addressed by upper management. Since I found out about this policy I will no longer use Staybridge Suites. I hope you change your policy to not lose any future customers.

While the facility itself was excellent, it was the staff that really made the difference. They were very friendly and made us feel like long time friends and not just people staying the night. We could not have asked any more from them. If I come back to the area, I won't consider staying anywhere else.

This hotel and its staff really go out of there way to make you feel at home. The access to free washers and dryers to handle laundry on longer trips is really appreciated. They have a great breakfast in the morning and they are located across the street from one of the better local restaurant/bars. My room was very comfortable and I slept very well during my stay.

Clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff and is an obviously well managed property. Ample shopping centers and restaurants are nearby. You will enjoy the Tuesday - Thursday social which is held in the hotel common area. Great opportunity to meet with your friends and clients. If you get a chance, check out the home theater on the first floor.
