Exceptional Staff

I had an exceptional experience with Kathy Brown upon arrival at the Staybridge Suites Hotel in Charlottesville, VA. There was a hiccup with my reservation not showing correctly in the system, which I was not happy about. I have never experienced this before and it was very troubling to me. It was a long day as I drove from North Carolina to visit a friend in the hospital who had an emergency surgery, and I came to Charlottesville, VA, to be there for her and her family as a supporter. After several attempts of trying to get the issue resolved, particularly noteworthy is that Kathy quickly checked me into a room, seeing it was very late and that I was traveling with a young child. She told me she would address the issue after returning from picking up an airline crew from the airport (Multitasking).

I was able to settle the little one in bed & then returned to the front desk, by that time Kathy was almost finished resolving the issue with my reservation.

I am thankful for Kathy’s prompt response in resolving the issue, her friendly, kind & cheerful spirit, and for the excellent customer service rendered by her to me as a privileged customer during my stay. I extended my stay for another week because of my experience with her.

Sue was also another outstanding employee that was very courteous, cheerful and helpful.

I have stayed in many hotels in various countries, but my unique experience with Kathy & Sue will never be forgotten.

GREAT HOTEL

Had a great 2 day stay. Very good value. Extremely comfortable beds, very clean. Had a 2 room suite. Breakfast the first day was extremely crowded, and they were out of everything, when we arrived downstairs, including plates and napkins. Shortly, they brought more out, and replenished. The food was good once we got some, but it was a process. The breakfast area doesn't have much room to navigate through the buffet. The second day was a Monday, so there were less people at breakfast, but they were out of everything once again. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 9:30, and we arrived downstairs at 9:00. No coffee, no waffle batter, no eggs, etc. That day, we only got a bagel, which was disappointing. All employees encountered during our stay were very pleasant and friendly. I am still waiting to hear back, because I left behind my pillow by accident. I have called twice and registered a claim online, but have not heard back. A bit disappointed in the follow up from housekeeping on that.
