What a lovely hotel

My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel for a wedding and it exceeded our expectations. The staff was so nice and accommodating. The room was so spacious and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The decor and interior of the room was so beautiful and unique. When we came in the tv said Welcome and had my fiancé’s name on the screen. The location of the hotel is perfect. Each day we spent there we walked through town and did some sight seeing and window shopping. A lot of cute cafes and gift shops just a few blocks away! Also an ATM close by. I wish I could’ve stayed longer! Next time we visit we are staying here again. 100% reccommend this hotel.

DO NOT DISTURB - YET, STAFF STILL ENTERS YOUR ROOM

I was VERY disappointed with my entire experience with this hotel, from the mistakes, the lack of cleanliness, and the lack of respect from the front desk personnel that I spoke with on June 1st.
-When originally making the reservation it was requested for 2 beds (because it was NECESSARY). When I called a week prior to confirm this, and spoke to front desk personnel, I was assured that I would have a room with 2 beds. The day of check in, I look at the reservation on my app, and see that it has been changed to a room with ONE bed, so once again, I had to call, and ask to have this corrected. I thought ok mistakes happen, this is not a big deal.
-The first night at the hotel, it is late at night, I pull back the comforter to climb into the bed, and notice that the sheets do NOT look like they are clean. It is late at night, although I found that DISGUSTING, I did not want to be any trouble, I again thought mistakes happen, I wont cause a big fuss, I pulled the comforter back, and slept on TOP of that, as I did not trust sleeping on sheets that looked like that.
- Day 2, we are in town for a festival, we leave the room, put the DO NOT DISTURB on the door (this was on the door FOR A REASON) as we had left our purses, jewelry, etc in the room. We got approximately a block away, when I realized that I had forgotten my ID. We turned around, and drove right back to the hotel. When we got back to the room, I immediately noticed that the door to our room was WIDE OPEN, and we definitely had NOT left it that way, we got closer only to find a housekeeper standing INSIDE of our room looking bewildered! Needless to say, I was NOT HAPPY about this. - She just kept telling me she was TOLD to clean the room, I pointed to the DO NOT DISTURB that was CLEARLY still displayed on the door, and proceeded to tell her that it was there for a reason, and after being there for only ONE night, there was certainly no dire cleaning emergency that required her (or any other staff) to violate our right to privacy & and enter our room, whenever they felt like it (or whenever they watched us leave)! THIS IS NOT OKAY!
-When I went to the front desk and tried to tell them what I had just experienced, I was beyond disappointed at the lack of respect or professionalism that I received. I could barely get a word in to finish explaining what just happened as one gentlemen kept interrupting me, and talking OVER me, to tell me that I was wrong, that "someone from my room called & ordered room service, and that was why she was in the room". I never once heard an apology.... They immediately became defensive, and combative with me. The one who kept talking over me, had no intention of actually listening to what my concerns were, he was more interested in telling me that I was wrong, that I had called, and ordered room service (which makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER, by the way... especially, considering the fact that I wasn't even there, and even if someone had ordered room service - which they had NOT- why on earth would you send a HOUSEKEEPER INSIDE of their room (without the guests permission). This is a clear violation of privacy!
This entire experience was just beyond rediculous. I have never left anyone a negative review before, but I feel Hotel Indigo clearly earned this one.
