Couple’s Getaway

Rooms are beautiful but could be cleaned better (wires behind lamps and fixtures is very dirty)
Food & Beverage offering was good but overall service could be improved upon. On site restaurants - Noble House & Veda are a must go but Segalla was a complete let down in terms of service and food.
Arrival experience was slightly disorganized. I was not recognized as an IHG member and my advance payment was not appearing on the stay.

Immense place.

Absolute pleasure…I visited this resort recently, the Hotel itself was like paradise.
It has it all!! fine dining with a variety of beautiful restaurant’s, it has as you would expect a very good variety of entertainment & activities, helpful staff who went out of their way to make me and my family feel special, superior service and all genuine, for example housekeeping would greet me with a smile each morning knowing what condition my room was in. Also The Sugar Cane Bar will certainly find a holiday drink for you, special mention to Sam & his team!!
It’s so good, however if you do want to eventually get out (too easy to plump yourself at the resort and be pampered) to experience what the whole of Mauritius has to offer, you just ask the hotel, personally on request, for me they arranged an all day catamaran experience, parasailing, scenic views tours to the waterfalls, incredible temples & mountains gorges & local markets, but there is loads more to do.
Overall, an amazing resort & an amazing team, which for me made it truly memorable, would highly recommend.

I understand we are coming out of a pandemic but I believe this property should be better and of a higher standard for the brand frankly speaking, food was good especially on the outer restaurants.

Great holiday all round

We stayed for ten nights during March on an all inclusive basis. The Indian Restaurant was closed and under reconstruction (Veda) however, the al la carte menu was still available in the Senso restaurant (the buffet). We felt like ten nights were just right because we were a little bored after this length of time with the food options. The food we had was lovely in all restaurants though, even the buffet.
We loved the chilled vibe about the place and how spotless it was. The housekeeping team were very attentive. We also thought the snorkelling was brilliant off the beach at the hotel.
We took advantage of the daily snorkel trips with Warren and his team and loved them too!
Kevin was a great help at a few points in our holiday. He was able to secure late checkout which was needed with a late flight and also setting up a tv for us to watch the England rugby game in a private room.
Overall we loved the place, the staff across the complex were lovely and friendly. We also liked the location because it was a twenty minute taxi into Port Louis and we also did the dolphin trip on a speed boat. West coast is the place to see dolphins.
A taxi to Port Louis and back worked out about £32. We only stayed a couple of hours but enjoyed a little walk around the capital.

Zimmer: Safe defekt bei Anreise musste total neuer SDafe eingebaut werden, Türzimmerschlösser wurden erneuert, Bad Wasserablauf so schlecht, dass man jedesmal Überschwemmung hatte, Bad und Ziummer haben schon bessere jahre gesehen,
kein airport shuttle auch kein shuttle zum nächsten dorf da das hotel sehr abgelegen liegt
Meerzugang ist wegen steinen nicht jedermanns Sache
Wir wurden zu einem PCR test geweckt 5000 MUR den wir nicht wollten weil man ihn zur Einreise nach Deutschland nicht benötigt, das Personal hat keine Kenntnisse schade für ein interconti
fitness raum gut
Heiligabendessen mit deutlichem Aufpreis das schlechteste Heiligabendessen das ich seit 40 jahre hatte, da wäre das ohnehin schon bezahlte Büffet besser gewesen
Heiligabendfeier vor dem essen gelungen
Volleyball platz kein vernünftiges netz, verletzungsanfälliger Boden kaum Saundaufwurd über einer Betonplatte
keine Animation (ausser wassergymnatik) was man sich in einem solchen land und Ressort wünscht
Abendunterhaltung von 17 abenden geschätzt 10 mal die gleiche
ich habe schon deutlich bessere Interconti erlebt
viel bemühtes Personal ohne jeglicher Effizienz Schade
obwohl geschätzt mit 30 % belegt alle zimmer nebeneinander belegt die nachbarn sind hierbei deutlich zu hören kein complimentary upgrade als ihg mitglied

Great Staff & Service

We had some initial problems with accommodation but it was soon sorted. All the people from managers to staff provided excellent service, nothing was impossible for them. They are credit to the hotel. We like to thank all the staff for making our holiday very enjoyable. We cannot remember all the names but ones that we can remember are Hanusha the chief chef, Kretan chef, Aruna and Patrick restaurant Maître de, Yash who did the towels, Mamant from bar, Varoodah who made us Indian breakfast everyday and Diya from the restaurant, the managers Keviv Rito and Ishrat.

Customer Experience Management Best Practice

As a member of the Gold Ambassador program with Intercontinental (as well as with a couple of other hotel chains, due to intensive business travel) I admit I am a quite demanding guest, specially when I travel in the "romantic getaway without the kids" mood.

Due to conferences or something, the Hotel couldn't meet the standards guaranteed for Gold Ambassador class on arrival, but the staff (spurred into action by one of the most "hands on" general manager I've seen in any hotel) really made such an effort, that they not only got back to the high standards of the Intercontinental brand, but really exceeded them by far.

From my experience in other hotels and the stay there, I am positive that within a few more months, the hotel will be among the top 5 of the brand, worldwide.

P.S.: special mention to: The pork dumplings from The Cook, the waiter service of Tool, and the Special Coconut drink from Raphael! ;-)

Whether in my room, in reception, at breakfast or dinner the staff would always enquire about my day, my stay and my comfort.
One of the Senior staff offered me a room closer to the reception area for ease of getting to reception in the morning to be shuttled to the office.
