Nice Hotel but 1 Bad Apple

We really liked this hotel a lot. The firepit with the view of the mountains was one of the best experiences I had at a hotel. The only issue I had with this hotel was one of the staff members working in the front desk. She had the worst attitude I have ever experienced at any hotel I've stayed at. After we checked into the hotel with her my wife and I both noticed her bad attitude. It was pretty busy so I figured she was just a bit stressed at that time. Or she just didn't like that we paid for the hotel with points because she said, "Oh, your paying with points" in a frustrated/disappointed way. Anyways, so the next morning I came downstairs to inquire about getting access to wifi. I saw she was the only one there and this time it wasn't busy at all, so when I asked her about the wifi she yelled "What?!" at me in an angry way, and told me I should've checked in earlier. In spite of her attitude I continued to remain calm and respectful and not point out her attitude to either her or anyone else. Fortunately, I later saw another front desk employee and he was able to help me out with a positive attitude. But wow, I'm not sure how this lady ended up working here but she really should consider working somewhere else like the DMV.

FD Rep made my experience terrible please re-train.

I've been dreading writing this review because I didn't want to relive this horrible experience but I know this needs to be addressed. I'm a gold member and an employee for IHG as well. I was here visiting for my anniversary when a FD rep (12year veteran) checked me in 2/6 when I asked if an upgrade was available he said he couldn't without manager authorization (BS I know the system too) he later proceeded to “upgrade me” but he would give me some “tips” in exchange to which he then stated “If you had slipped me a $10 or $20 I would have upgraded you in a heartbeat” (I know right wtf was he thinking) I had already had a horrible experience at the airport and at the car rental I lost my cool and I was literally in tears as he finished checking me in. I had to tell this guy I upgrade members all the time and I don't need a bribe to do it. With tears in my eyes I told him “Kindness goes a long way” to which he replied “What about me?.” The arrogance the selfishness is unbelievable. I truly did not care about an upgrade at this point. He tried redeeming himself by insisting on upgrading us offering us drinks but it was too late for us I wasn't comfortable anymore I cancelled the rest of the nights and left. Thank God I did because the rest of my trip was god sent. This guy might have inspired me to tip a FD in Fraser who ACTUALLY deserved it. Yeah this 24 year old had to have a lesson on kindness with this 30-40 year old man #emberrassing. One last TIP for YOU whoever you are BE BETTER, DO BETTER.
