Poor Breakfast Service

Unfortunately, the breakfast "service" was horrible. A bad apple (in my case one named Kim) in this hotel made my stay at this specific place very unpleasant and because of it I can only give it "one" star. The service lady named Kim, had a bad attitude and acted as if she owned the hotel. She was really rude to me and because of it my experience at this hotel was the worst in five years. I also noticed she was really rude to an Indian family that was staying there when I was visiting. The rooms were okay (had issues with the noise right outside the window and the bath tub was clogged (which was later fixed)) but the location was great... other than that, I will never stay in this specific hotel again because of their customer service... mainly in the breakfast area. The other girls in the front desk were okay... and only the manager I spoke to had excellent customer service skills. Unfortunately, it only took this Kim lady to ruin it for me. People pay a lot of money to stay at these hotels and then some of these employees act as if they are doing you (the customer) a favor. The hotel needs to more adequately train their employees on how to take care of their customers. Being courteous and polite goes a long way and could have earned this hotel five stars instead of one.

Not the best Staybridge I've been at.

I definitely don't feel they honor IHG customers, everything I asked for from an upgrade to a lower floor wasn't honored, I understand they can't accommodate everyone so that's ok, however, when I'm put on the 5th floor level and the elevators temporarily don't work I'm none to pleased with that, glad I'm in decent shape. I must say this, I understand COVID has made it necessary to go to certain safety protocols, but I feel they shouldn't charge full price for half service, i.e., no weekend room service, pool is closed and no real breakfast.
