Unbelievably Nasty

I have been staying at this facility regularly off and on for 10 years, so this is not my first experience here. It has been going steadily down hill for years.
A couple hours after we checked in, and were sorting a few groceries away, I noticed what looked like a dry coffee film in the bottom of the coffee pot. When I opened the top of the coffee maker, there was a used moldy coffee pack still in it (see the picture). When I opened the dishwasher, there was still dirty dishes in it, especially a coffee cup that looked like it had moldy chocolate in it. I took the coffee pod to the desk to show them and asked for some dish soap and some dishwasher detergent which they supplied. They informed me that housekeeping had been suspended.
I tossed the pack in the dishwasher and started it but decided to try and scrub the coffee pot and coffee strainer in the sink as I didn't trust the dishwasher to get anything clean. As I ran water in the sink to wash the pot, I could hear water splashing underneath. Opening the cabinet door, there was a huge puddle of water. You can see the water streaming down in the picture under the sink. We decided we wouldn't even try to use the coffee pot or dishes.
The bathroom commode wouldn't always flush properly and they had left a plunger beside it. When you tried to use the plunger, water would leak across the floor through the poor caulking job they had tried to do. See the picture.
You might be thinking, why didn't they ask for another room....we were afraid of getting something even worse.
Since we couldn't use the coffee pot in the room, the next morning I went to the "grab and go" area to get some coffee. It was actually about 6:27 am and the maid putting out the few muffins and drinks informed me that the area didn't open until 6:30. There was absolutely not another person around anywhere. When I said I just wanted to get a coffee, she grabbed a post sign with the hours noted on it and slammed it down at the entrance. Absolutely the most obnoxiously rude woman I have ever encountered in all my years travelling. When I told her that I didn't appreciate that sort of attitude she threatened to call the police and have us removed from the hotel....unbelievable. No idea what sort of power trip this lady is on. If I wouldn't have had immediate appointments at nearby National Jewish Health, which took months to set up, I would have left then.
This facility was disgustingly nasty and certainly not up to the condition we had expected from previous stays.
So disappointing!

After reading reviews and viewing photos showing a nice hotel, I happily booked a stay here for our family. Was quickly disappointed after check-in to find a room that smelled unclean, with a bathroom door latch that was haphazardly screwed into the door frame (see pic) and two sinks that were clogged. It only got worse from there, as the breakfast experience was horrendous. Our family arrived at breakfast half-way through the breakfast hours and found ALL of the food was gone, with the exception of a couple of pieces of toast and dry cereal. The remains of eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, bagels, and pastries were evident, but not available. There were also NO plates or utensils available. When brought to the kitchen employee's attention, she gave guests paper and plastic products. Thinking the poor service was a fluke, we went down to breakfast the 2nd day, and found the same situation...only THIS time, when the lack of food and utensils was brought up to the employee (different than the day before), he was extremely rude. Guests told him that the day before we were given plasticware (which we found under the food area and put out for grateful guests), and he then proceeded to grab the plastic utensils and put them back under the counter, exclaiming that we were NOT to take plastic plates or utensils to use. He then deliberately began slamming down dishes in the kitchen. We guests stood there with our mouths open, disbelieving the extremely poor service! A guest then told me that he had been staying at this hotel for the past 6 weeks, and every morning faced the same situation...no food, plates or utensils and very rude employees. We voiced our concerns to a desk clerk who passed our table and then did the same upon check-out to another employee. Neither one seemed too concerned and responded without feeling, "I'm sorry to hear that." End of story. No explanation of how they plan to improve things for paying guests. We plan to stay in the Cheery-Creek/Denver area for many years to come, as we have moved a son there, but we will NEVER book this hotel again.
Everything is broken

We booked 7 nights for a family vacation. We stayed for 1. We called a day prior about early check-in and were told it would be no problem. It was a problem. We waited 2 hours for a room. Front desk and housekeeping staff were sympathetic to our long travel day and pulled strings to get us in by 2:00, even though we were originally told the day before that it would be ready by noon. They were the best part of our short stay.
The pool was closed (construction). It was supposed to open in 2 days (per hotel website) but showed no signs of being ready for that. It had no water and no one was working on it. Considering the rest of the issues we had, we didn't have any hope it would be open during any part of our vacation.
The dishes in our room were missing. The available cookware was dirty. The stove didn't work at all. The dishwasher leaked. The room phone was broken. There were vagrants wandering the parking lot and trying to break into cars. The room door wouldn't latch and had to be forced closed. The bedroom door wouldn't shut
Hotel staff was unphased by all of it and made no attempt to address any concerns, other than bring us some dishes. Their response was always "yeah, we know" - including the attempted car break-ins. This was also the manager's response, who was the one we had to walk downstairs and speak to personally about each issue, since the room phone was broken.
Good fine

It was clean, convenient and the personnel were friendly and helpful.
The price was great for what you received.
