Thank you to Elvis (receptionist) who had given us a free breakfast, even though we finally didn't have breakfast.
But there was something surprised us on May 5, 2024 at 1.30 in the morning there was a small cockroach on the ceiling of our bed, call the front desk and he went straight to the room to catch that cockroach (attached the pics)

Very friendly service. Small hiccups with access card and electric window blinds but quickly remedied.
Modern decor and good quiet location. Close to skybus stop.

I was very impressed with the hotel and the level of service was excellent and exceeded my expectations.
I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

The hardware of the hotel is good as it is newly opened. It is right next to Southern Cross Station and tram stop. You can easily get to St Kilda and South Melbourne from hotel.
However, the hotel staff did not tell me that their gym was still under construction and never recognised me as an IHG member were the disappointment during the stay.
I use this Holiday Inn as my benchmark around the world

I love this place and it's all because of the staff. They are always so good to me. The hotel is walking distance to everywhere I need to be. The beds are great and the rooms are comfortable, even to work in.
I have been to many different Holiday Inns around the world and this one is the best. It has been my favourite for the last 10 years.
And for the last 3 months it's been my second home.

I would like to thank Justin Young for all the hard work in making our reservation work when the priority privilege service no longer applied and we had booked thinking that we would be renewing our card and had to then purchase the new IHG card with different rewards, also when we had arrived my husband had a medical emergency and the staff were so helpful and as I was leaving for the hospital Alistair Vivians gave me his card telling me that if there was anything that he could do please call and this was very kind as we were from interstate and felt very disoriented I would highly recommend Holiday Inn to anyone who was visiting Melbourne

Great location and good for the budget. I stayed with my 2 children and they were very welcomed and accommodated to. Breakfast was lovely with fresh omelettes made to perfection! walk from southern cross station and best location for us to get on the freeway to head to Phillip Island. All members of staff were so very friendly and helpful, this was really noticeable. A big thank you to Daniella the waitress who was very welcoming and interested in our stay and her great directions to get around. Also the young man at reception was so helpful with all our enquiries and went out of his way to help in such a positive manner. The rooms were clean although small but we spent the day out and about so this was ok. We even had a swim so this was a good bonus for the kids. Would be happy to return.

The location of the hotel is good,very convenient.you can have a good city sight seeing,easy shopping,and if you want by skybus to airport,Takes several minutes by foot you can reach south cross station,the skybus station is over there.

I received prompt service at checkin, was identified as an IHG member by the staff (I'd forgotten I was actually a member). The room was clean and fresh, the bed comfortable, the choice of pillows (firm and soft) a nice touch.
Breakfast was greatly improved over my last stay (about 2 years prior).
The biggest issue was the "complimentary" Internet access as an IHG member - 1Mbps isn't enough to do anything, I ended up using my 4G mobile phone as a tether point rather than waste time with the hotel WiFi.
