Since our founding in San Francisco in 1981, we’ve embraced our LGBTQIA+ community, advocated for equal rights and have partnered with meaningful organizations that are affecting positive change.

PARTNER SPOTLIGHT:

The Trevor Project

Today, we partner on a local and national level with The Trevor Project, as their National Hotel Partner. Through local fundraising events and our Trevor Project rate code, we’re helping to further their mission to end suicide among the LGBTQIA+ youth by providing 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention services.


Black Lives Matter

Being inclusive and celebrating diversity isn’t just about creating welcoming spaces for all, though that’s a pretty big deal for us. It’s also about reflecting, listening and learning, advocating for what we believe and modeling our beliefs in the actions we take as a company.

Our Black Lives Matter: Act to Action committee was created to drive meaningful change across our operations, marketing, financial, and people and culture departments. We’ve joined forces with advocacy groups, like Tourism Diversity Matters, established relationships with leading HBCUs (Historically black colleges and universities) to extend our recruiting efforts in the black community, audited all of our company vendors and partners to elevate the Black guest experience and introduced new Black-owned businesses at the brand and property level. We’ve fostered new partnerships at the local level with museums and cultural institutions to offer accessibility to prominent Black History centers for our guests.

PARTNER SPOTLIGHT:

National Urban League

At the national level, we’ve partnered with the National Urban League who’s working to reduce equality gaps, empower communities, and enable African American and other underserved urban residents to thrive. Through Kimpton’s Events for Good - Kimpton Off The Record - as well as our National Urban League rate code, we’re raising funds to help carry out their mission.
