No masks among staff or guests

This was one of the more shocking and disappointing experiences I have had. I stayed at a staybridge suites in Illinois where the hotel required masks among staff and guests. The IHG global site mentions all hotels need to comply. It was disturbing and completely against Michigan laws and a complete disrespect to both staff and guests. The unmasked staff came into the elevator with us, unmasked guests came into the elevator with us. None of the cleaning staff wore masks and one came to our door on the day of checkout. The staff were nice but it seemed almost like the manager had an anti-mask policy.

Unpleasant experience and no masks!

It seems as if this hotel
Almost has a no mask policy for its staff - not a single staff member including cleaning staff wore masks. No one. Same thing with the customers - I saw maybe 3 other people wearing masks. We would take the elevator and unmasked people would get on the elevator with us. Even the lady from the front desk!! And the cleaning lady came to my door the day I was checking out and I absentmindedly opened the door without my mask.

It was surreal and frankly shocking especially given we had just stayed at another staybridge in Illinois and it was the opposite. Plus their global website indicates all hotels require masks in public areas and compliance with local laws - Michigan requires masks. It was very upsetting and I hadn’t felt this at risk if exposure since March. And we go to restaurants and I will go shopping. We have stayed at hotels. But we are masked and others around are as well. Totally unacceptable. If they are not complying then the hotel should make this transparent on their website so people who prefer to stay in covid compliant establishments can make their own decisions. There will then be people who prefer to not wear masks and they can all enjoy their mask less adventure at this one. We left 2 nights early to a hotel that was in compliance.

They should indicate on their website that there is no to go breakfast service, They did not have coffee available for the rooms except for decaf. This was a pain because we had to go down to get a cup and they only supplied very small cups. .
Redeeming points: the front desk staff We’re incredibly nice.

Excellent stay and service

Wonderful stay over the Holidays. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was professional and very helpful. The food was excellent too. Our stay could not have been better. Thank You!
