Time to spend a relaxing day in Kemah? Spend the day walking down the Kemah Boardwalk, where you can ride carnival-style rides, eat at one of the Kemah Boardwalk's popular restaurants such as the Cadillac Bar, or gather souvenirs from one of the various retailers. If you'd rather spend time out on the water, head over to the marina to sail, kayak or fish. Sip local wines at Clear Creek Winery during a tasting event.
Stay near the water on Galveston Bay at a variety of small, locally owned hotels or at an affordable location from one of the nation's largest hotel chains. No matter where you stay, you'll be able to enjoy a large, clean room with plenty of natural light. Some hotels even offer stunning views of the bay. If you plan to spend all of your time at the Kemah Boardwalk, you can choose to stay at one of the hotel properties onsite. If you'd like to save a little money, you can stay further away from the boardwalk and closer to League City. Many of the hotels within the area offer a balance of amenities that meet the needs of both the tourist and business traveler.
If you're flying into Houston, traveling to Kemah will take you around 30 minutes or so, depending on traffic. There are several smaller airports nearby and even a heliport. Take 146 to travel there.
