Benefits and services may change from time to time and may vary by hotel, country, and geographical region. Most benefits, including Member-exclusive rates, are available only for Members who book their hotel reservations through IHG’s websites (including mobile sites), the IHG App, IHG Customer Care, IHG WeChat mini program, Iberostar website, Iberostar Contact Center, IberostarPro or directly with an IHG hotel.

  • Earned Points: Members earn ten (10) Points per US dollar or local currency equivalent on Qualifying Stays at most IHG branded hotels and five (5) Points per US dollar or local currency equivalent at Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites properties. For exceptions, see here
  • Elite Member Point Expiration: Elite Members’ points do not expire. If the account moves to Club level and there is a period of 12 months without any earn or redeem activity, then the points will expire. 
  • Member Rates: An IHG One Rewards Member is eligible to book exclusive rates, provided the Member books his or her stay through one of IHG's websites, IHG App, IHG Customer Care, IHG WeChat mini program, Iberostar website, Iberostar Contact Center, IberostarPro or directly with an IHG branded hotel. Exclusive Member Rates are not available at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas or IHG Army Hotels.
  • Reward Night Discount: IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite and Diamond Elite Members will receive exclusive access to promotional discounts on Reward Nights at participating hotels.
  • Dedicated Diamond Support: IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite members are provided a support line with dedicated agents who will assist with bookings and hotel-related needs.
  • Free Internet: Standard internet access is available to all IHG One Rewards Members at all IHG hotels. Internet availability, accessibility, speed, and connectivity in common areas and guest rooms vary by hotel. The Venetian® and The Palazzo®, an InterContinental Alliance® Resort do not offer the Free Internet Access benefit, which is instead included in the daily resort fee.
  • Guaranteed Room Availability: Platinum Elite and Diamond Elite members are guaranteed one guest room when reservations are made at least 72 hours prior to the date of arrival. The guarantee only applies to the member’s room. Reservations must be made through IHG Customer Care and secured with a valid credit card. The Member will not be charged more than the Best Flexible Rate for the accommodation requested, and the Member is not entitled to a rate less than the Best Flexible Rate. The reservation is subject to the hotel’s cancellation policy. Guaranteed availability does not apply to Reward Nights and/or at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas properties. Exceptions may apply during special events that result in extraordinary demand, as determined by the hotel, and hotels may require a minimum length of stay. 
  • Complimentary Upgrades: Room upgrades are subject to availability, at the hotel’s discretion, and will only apply to the Member’s personal guest room. Upgrades may include next best available room, such as suites, rooms on higher floors, corner rooms, newly renovated rooms, or rooms with preferred views. Complimentary Upgrades to Club rooms, Club REGENT or Club InterContinental rooms / floors do not include Club Level amenities or services, e.g. Club Lounge access, free pressing, airport transportation, etc.  Upgrade benefits may not be available at all brands and IHG Residences, including but not limited to InterContinental Residences, voco Residences, Crowne Plaza Residences.
  • Welcome Amenity: The Welcome Amenity for Platinum Elite and Diamond Elite Members varies by brand and region. In Greater China, Silver Elite and Gold Elite Members are also offered a choice of Welcome Amenity.
    • The choice of amenity is only offered on Qualified Stays and is non-transferrable
    • Diamond Elite Members’ Welcome Amenity choice also includes Free Breakfast at full-service and select-service brands (REGENT, InterContinental, Vignette, Hualuxe, Hotel Indigo, voco, Crowne Plaza, Even, Holiday Inn, and Kimpton)
      • Available for Member and one guest registered to the same room for each night of stay
      • Includes one main menu item with unlimited non-alcoholic beverages or full buffet with unlimited non-alcoholic beverages per person
        • Select Breakfast menu items may be excluded (such as specialty/local-themed items)
      • Alcoholic beverages and certain specialty drinks excluded
      • Not available for In-Room dining or at specialty restaurants
    • Not offered at InterContinental Residence Suites Dubai Festival City or InterContinental Doha Residences
    • Members using Digital Check-in may only receive Points as a Welcome Amenity
  • Early Check-In: Early Check-In is upon Member request and subject to hotel availability for Platinum Elite & Diamond Elite Members. Available at all IHG brands. Specific time is defined at the hotel’s discretion. 
  • Late Check-Out: Late Check-Out is up to 2pm, upon Member request and subject to hotel availability for all IHG One Rewards Members. Available at all IHG brands.
  • Mr & Mrs Smith: The following benefits are applicable for stays at Mr & Mrs Smith Hotels:

Milestone Rewards

Beginning January 1, 2022, Members may earn Milestone Rewards on Elite Qualifying Nights for stays completed within the calendar year. Milestone Rewards are earned every 10 nights, beginning at 20 nights through 100 nights. Additionally, when a Member has reached 40 and 70 nights, they will be able to choose two Milestone Rewards options (Note: See below for limitations on Confirmable Suite Upgrades and Annual Lounge Membership selections). Members can track their Elite Qualifying Nights activity in their Rewards Wallet within the My Account section of the IHG website or IHG App. Once a milestone is reached, Members have 90 days to select a benefit on the IHG website or IHG App, otherwise, the benefit is forfeited.  All Milestone Reward selections are final.

  • Food & Beverage Reward: IHG One Rewards Members can redeem a Food & Beverage Reward for credit against applicable food and beverage charges during a hotel stay, up to a maximum of USD20 per voucher at participating IHG Hotels & Resorts. Each Food & Beverage Reward can only be used once, even if the Member’s applicable charges total less than USD20 (e.g., redeeming a Food & Beverage Reward for USD15 of applicable charges will provide a credit of USD15 only).
    • The Food & Beverage Reward is valid for 12 months from milestone selection 
    • Applicable charges vary by property but generally include food, beverage and gratuities
    • The Food & Beverage Reward will be issued to the member in 6 local currencies (20USD, 15GBP, 15EUR, 125CNY, 2000JPY and 70SAR) based on member country of origin; all others will receive the Reward as $20USD. The Reward amount and credit value will be converted to the hotel’s local currency at time of redemption
    • There is no limit to the number of Food & Beverage Rewards a Member can use per stay
    • The Member is responsible for any outstanding balance after the credit is applied
      • The Member will earn IHG One Rewards points on the outstanding balance only
    • The Food & Beverage Reward is non-transferable and cannot be applied to multiple rooms or reservations, or shared rooms
    • Value is not exchangeable, replaceable, or transferable for cash or other type of credit
    • Once redeemed, Food & Beverage Rewards cannot be reversed or cancelled
    • Food & Beverage Reward is applied to total Food & Beverage applicable charges, e.g. it cannot be applied to food only or beverage only
    • The Food & Beverage Reward cannot be applied if staying as part of a group, package tour or convention where charges are being paid by a third party
    • Benefit is available at all IHG brands except Holiday Inn Club Vacations. The benefit also is not available at Iberostar Beachfront Resorts, Mr & Mrs Smith properties or at InterContinental Alliance Resorts (Las Vegas and Macau)
    • Benefit is not available at vending machines, third party outside food deliveries (i.e. Uber Eats), restaurants that do not allow charges to a guest room bill, gift shops, and taxes associated to minibar charges 
    • Benefit cannot be used in the marketplaces
  • Annual Lounge Membership: Lounge Membership provides access to the hotel’s Club Lounge and offered amenities within the physical space (e.g., library, meeting room, and business station) for the registered Member plus one additional guest (the additional guest does not need to be staying at the hotel) for the duration of their stay or until time of Check-Out. (Note: At Iberostar Beachfront Resorts the one additional guest must be a guest at the hotel.)
    • Once Annual Lounge Membership is chosen it will be valid to the end of the year plus an additional 12 months (E.g., Annual Lounge Membership Milestone choice selected June 2022 will be valid until December 31, 2023)
    • Annual Lounge Membership rewards do not accumulate. Member only needs to select Annual Lounge Membership once (at either the 40-night or 70-night Milestone) to maximize value for the Member and enjoy it through the end of year plus 12 months.
    • Lounge Food & Beverage offerings and additional amenities vary by region and by hotel
    • Annual Lounge Membership is available at IHG properties with a Club Lounge unless restricted due to renovations, closures, or other facility limitations 
    • Annual Lounge Membership does not include Club REGENT or Club InterContinental amenities or services beyond the physical lounge, e.g., free pressing, farewell amenity, airport transportation, etc.
    • At participating Iberostar Beachfront Resorts Annual Lounge Membership provides access to the Star Prestige facilities and services, excluding Star Prestige guest rooms, for the registered Member plus one additional hotel guest
    • Annual Lounge Membership available on Qualified Stays only, including Reward Night/Free Night and stays booked through an OTA
    • Annual Lounge benefit is not available at Mr & Mrs Smith properties or at InterContinental Alliance Resorts (Las Vegas and Macau)
  • Confirmable Suite Upgrade: Confirmable Suite Upgrades will be applicable for one room upgrade to an entry-level suite or premium room where a suite is not available.
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrade is valid for 12 months from milestone selection 
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrade may only be selected once at 40 and 70- night milestone choice
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrade can only be applied to stays that are on an eligible rate, e.g., Best Flexible, Member Discount, Government, and select Corporate and package rates 
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrades cannot be used with the following rate types:
      • Group rates, package tour or convention where charges are being paid by a third party
      • Reward Night/Free Night, including Ambassador Complimentary Weekend Night (eligible at a future date)
      • Non-Qualified rate like Wholesale, OTA, and Employee rate
      • Prepaid rates if deposit is already applied 
      • Some hotel defined packages
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrade must be redeemed by contacting IHG Customer Care 
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrade can be made starting 14 days before arrival up to 24hrs before Check-In 
    • Valid for stays up to a maximum of 5 nights
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrade can only be applied to the Member’s room and is non-transferable
    • Suite Upgrade is not exchangeable for cash or other type of credit 
    • Platinum Elite and Diamond Elite 72-hour guarantee availability is not applicable
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrade will be reinstated to Member’s Rewards Wallet if cancelled in advance of hotel’s cancellation policy timeframe, and original validity dates will apply
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrade availability exceptions may apply during special events that result in extraordinary demand, as determined by the hotel
    • If a Member uses a Confirmable Suite Upgrade and ‘no-shows’ for their reservation, the Confirmable Suite Upgrade will be forfeited
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrade cannot be stacked with guaranteed upgrades for Royal Ambassador, Ambassador, and Inner Circle Members, any additional upgrades are at the discretion of the hotel
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrade is available at all IHG brands, except avid hotels, Atwell Suites, IHG Army Hotels, Holiday Inn Club Vacations, IHG Residences, including but not limited to InterContinental Residences, voco Residences, Crowne Plaza Residences, and Six Senses Hotels Resort Spas. The benefit also is not available at Mr & Mrs Smith properties, InterContinental Alliance Resorts (Las Vegas and Macau) or at participating Iberostar Beachfront Resorts.
    • Confirmable Suite Upgrades to Club rooms, Club REGENT or Club InterContinental rooms / floors do not include Club level amenities or services, e.g. Club Lounge access, free pressing, airport transportation, etc.
    • Suite inventory is not available at all properties or is limited at others; where suite inventory is limited, premium rooms will be offered if available.
