New Orleans is a world unto itself, where delicious food, Mardi Gras
revelry and inimitable music are all part of the city’s traditions and
character. It’s difficult to avoid falling for its lovely European
architecture, and the city’s sights and sounds mingle to create a powerful
experience no vacationer is likely to forget. New Orleans’ subtropical
climate means you can expect fairly warm weather, and remember that summer
is the city's wettest season, so pack an umbrella. Things to See This eclectic Southern city will undoubtedly satisfy your taste buds with
delicious Cajun and Creole cuisine, but it will also delight your other
senses. If you're craving a party, you won’t have to wait until Mardi Gras
to visit. You can wander down Bourbon Street any day of the week to take in
New Orleans' outstanding nightlife. Mellow out with the blues at Funky
Pirate, ride the mechanical bull at Bourbon Cowboy or put on a karaoke show
at Cat's Meow. If you still want more of New Orleans' music scene, head
over to Frenchmen Street to hear authentic local jazz at landmarks like
Snug Harbor. New Orleans has more than just nightclubs to keep you enthralled. Jackson
Square, located in the French Quarter, is a necessary stop for history
buffs. Gaze at the Cabildo, the building where the Louisiana Purchase
changed the nation forever, and admire the St. Louis Cathedral before
meandering through the Presbytère’s Mardi Gras exhibit. If you’re traveling
with children, City Park has hundreds of acres of open green space. Storyland and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park are sure to please the
youngest members of your group. Hotels in New Orleans No matter your traveling circumstances, it’s a safe bet that you will find
accommodation among the many hotels in New Orleans. If you're all about
exploring and don't mind if your hotel doesn't offer a lot of luxurious
details, we have a variety of clean, simple and inviting hotels. On the
other hand, there are plenty options if you want to indulge; some of our
hotels offer stellar views of the river, while others put you right in the
heart of the action. Before booking a place to stay, it may be helpful to
jot down exactly what you want from your hotel so you will be able to find
a place that fits your needs and budget. Where to Stay New Orleans' famous French Quarter offers much to visitors, and staying in
the area puts you within walking distance of top attractions, which is a
bonus since parking in the neighborhood can be tricky. If you want more serene surroundings, Marigny is a quiet residential
neighborhood near the French Quarter with plenty of things to do. Mid-City
is another low-key area with lovely green spaces and easy access to
downtown. You might also want to look beyond New Orleans' borders for a place to
stay. Some nearby hotels might offer lower rates, and if you're renting a
car, you can still experience the city's charm with ease.

InterContinental Hotels New Orleans
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chalmette - New Orleans S
I received a balcony upgrade but the balcony was filthy.
The room was incredible and all well otherwise
Fortunately this was an upgrade on a quiet night and the agent at the desk probably thought[More] he was doing well.
That balcony is scary, you should look into it.[Less]
Great Customer Service
By angela1972
I am writing this review to brag on one of the employees at the Intercontinental New Orleans - Rob White. My husband and I planned a weekend getaway in New Orleans. After the first night, my husband[More] became ill and we had to check out early. Seeing our disappointment, Mr. White was very professional and courteous to us during the checkout process. My husband and I decided that the Intercontinental will be our "go-to" hotel when we come back to visit our favorite city because of how we were treated by him. Thank you![Less]
Another Weekend in NOLA
By CM-fromChicago
This is our go-to hotel every time we go to NOLA... far enough from the action to get a good night's sleep and close enough so that we can walk to our favorite places. The lobby is beautiful, the[More] suites are perfect, the happy hour is great, the staff is friendly and Salman Chaudhry is amazing, as always! He's always so kind, thoughtful and welcoming. As Spire Elite members, we always get great service at IHG hotels, but Salman always goes above and beyond to make our visits special when we visit NOLA, from having our favorite treats in the room upon arrival, to great upgrades, to greeting us with a hug. This year we were there to celebrate our son's 26th birthday and the InterContinental did not disappoint. Highly recommend it![Less]

Fun Getaway at a great value
By Marc263
I stayed at this property for 2 nights and from when I arrived, the Concierge, Nicki, was absolutely wonderful! She provided excellent service and was very helpful! She was a great and refreshing[More] person to deal with during my stay. Nicki was there the entire weekend I was there and she always had a smile on her face. Hotel Indigo has a great employee in Ms. Nicki. My room was on the 6th floor and it was very comfortable and clean. No issues or concerns about the room. The hotel is only a street car ride to the French Quarters. Very conveniently located. I would recommend this hotel.[Less]
Nice Hotel in Garden District
By Susan Road Tripper
We wanted to stay in the Garden District while in NOLA. Having stayed at Indigo in Nashville, we looked forward to similar amenities. Indigo delivered again. Perfect location - walking distance to[More] Commander's Palace and the stately homes in the District AND right across the street from the trolley stop to downtown. Hotel staff are very professional and helpful. Good value. Hope to get back soon.[Less]
