Sometimes cost should be the 2nd consideration
By gntHouston
I recently visited Pasadena for the 2nd year in a row with my sister and her two young grand-daughters. Last year we stayed at Holiday Inn Express. This year I booked at a competitor because of lower [More] rates. After one night there the girls disliked the hotel so much that they implored me to move to the Holiday Inn Express. We did. The staff and accomodations at Holiday Inn Express were of superior quality and worth the extra price. I won't make that mistake next year. [Less]
I FELT LIKE WEWERE ONE OF THE FAMILY INSPEAD OF A GUEST
By annemz
I came to Pasadena to help my daughter, who is 23, during and after surgery to her ankle. The staff at this hotel were truly exceptional From.my check in to my check out they met my needs and my [More] requests due to the circumstances. I have never stayed in a hotel for a period of time other than for vacation and this time it was just to make sure my daughter was comfortable. The staff made sure a wheelchair was available for my daughter, cleaned the room at convenient times for us and not their schedule, everyone always had a smile on their face and even would ask how my daughter was feeling. Moe, the General Manager really showed a genuine concern for us and made sure he asked if there was anything he could do for us several times. And how about this, at check out we even received a GET WELL card signed by the staff for my daughter. You don't get that everywhere. [Less]
TREATED LIKE FAMILY AND NOT JUST ANOTHER GUEST
By annemz
I stayed at this hotel to be with my daughter during an ankle surgery and recovery. As soon as I checked into the hotel I felt like someone special. The front desk, the General Manager, the staff [More] members at the breakfast area, maids, and really all members of the staff at this hotel always greeted me with a smile and a Hello. The General Manager replaced the old wheelchair with a new one wheelchair for my daughters use. He said the old one needed repairs anyway and wanted my daughter to use a safe one. After surgery when we walked into the lobby they even asked how everything went and really cared/ The young lady who cleaned our room worked around my daughters comfort to make sure the room was always clean. We even received a get well card at the time of check out. I thank everyone at the Pasadena Location and want to make sure you are recognized for your kindness. [Less]

Comfortable beds, Very Clean Rooms
By Sunny777
We stayed at this hotel for one night to drop off friends at LAX for an early flight. The hotel was a bit pricy but it is Los Angeles. The benefit of a parking garage in the hotel was nice and it was [More] only $10 per night vs other hotels who have limited parking and charge more. Outside looked sketchy because of being next to a highway but we had no problems and felt safe at the hotel. Rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Although next to the 405 highway the room was very quiet and restful. The hotel staff at check in and check out were very pleasant and friendly. [Less]
a great place to stay...convient to everything
By ollie3637
We were on the 3rd floor and away from all the street noise...We could see our Tv programs after touring all day and then wake to a wonderful full breakfast. Our room was clean daily and plenty of [More] toiletries left for the the next day...plus coffee in our room....just excellent stay and very comfortable. Plenty of parking space..didn't have to worry at what time we came in.If we ark in the basement..we went directly to the elevator and up to our floor...no problem with parking and no parking fees to pay....just excellent ideal place to stay. Great friendly service

Front desk staff, Aida, was very helpful and friendly at check in. She would greet us by name when coming back to the hotel, making us feel welcomed. They promptly brought up a crib we requested. [More] Overall a great stay. [Less]
Great location, helpful staff
By lindalovesbooks
The area around the hotel is a bit dicey but once you are in the lobby you are in the clean, friendly Holiday Inn Express that you expect. Our room was spotless, shower worked well, bed was super [More] comfortable and towels were fluffy. We didn't get up in time to have the complimentary breakfast but the smells coming from the breakfast room were very enticing. The hotel clerk, Aida, was most helpful in guiding us on how best to get to the places we wanted to see. The complimentary shuttle service worked perfectly, dropping us off and picking us up so we didn't have to deal with parking in a crowded area. I will definitely stay here again. [Less]
