I am really disappointed that housekeeping threw out a blanket I left behind that I’ve had for 10 years vs. taking it to lost and found. It had a significant amount of sentimental value to it and was left with the comforter on top of it so we didn’t see it when rounding up the toddlers before heading out of 222. I called the same day we left and was told nothing was found. I called the following morning and was told she would check with housekeeping and call me back. I did not get a call back so I reached out for a 3rd time before we left town and the lady said it might have been thrown out. Honestly, get a better system in place to reach out to guests when things are left behind. Housekeeping should be bringing it to front desk and front desk staff should absolutely have the bandwidth to do some outreach. It’s a quick phone call that can be made a priority at least once during an 8-hour shift to confirm if a guest is able to come back for the item.
Your breakfast attendant gal was really stellar and polite, professional and a joy to interact with the morning we left. Please notify her of our appreciation.

Awful and Rundown

This hotel is old, rundown, and dirty. Water in the shower dripped out of the shower head. When discussing the unlivable accommodations with the hotel manager he said “All of our rooms are like that”. We checked out and went a block away to a clean and more modern hotel.

My wife and I normally stay at this hotel, but will be looking for other accommodations in the future.

It doesn’t bother me that there was construction going on. What bothers me is that at the time of making the online reservations there is nothing to inform whoever is staying of the construction that is going on and has been going on for a while.

The worse part is I jump in to take a shower before bed only to find out that there was no hot water.

After my very brief cold shower I head to the front desk, where the employee nonchalantly mentions that there is no hot water in any part of the hotel. I would have thought that at check in at least….. the employee would of mentioned the lack of hot water and possibly try to make it up to a loyal customer by oh I don’t know, maybe offering to put us up at the Holiday Inn across the parking lot.

At the bear minimum we should of been made aware of the lack of hot water.

Don’t stay here!

Worst hotel I have stayed in period. Member since 1993 and at least a 1K IHG stays. 4th floor being renovated, we were on the 3rd. Anytime you needed the elevator you had to call the front desk. Several times we had to use the stairs with a very bad knee. We had no hot water. Ice maker not working in the room. Couch was nasty, old. Carpet torn in a few places. Hole in wall in bathroom. Power went out a couple of times.
Complained to front desk but got no where. The only bright spot was the breakfast lady, she was very nice and tried to be helpful.

I have stayed at this hotel several times before and it looks to have changed ownership within the last year. The elevator did not work and staff was unfriendly and not welcoming. The customers should be made fully aware of the elevator issues and prices should reflect these issues. Why stay at a hotel for full price and not have a working elevator. I talked with some customers that have been staying for a while and the elevator had been an issue for several weeks. With luggage and young children, the stair are not always the best. I will not being staying at this one again in the future.

Horrible service and stay

My stay at Staybridge in Corpus Christi was a complete nightmare! The moment I arrived, I was greeted by darkness due to a 2-hour power outage, which spiraled into a torturous 5-hour wait just to check in. Placed on the 4th floor, I faced the horror of a non-functioning elevator on the second day, leaving me to lug my luggage up and down. The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, with soggy carpets adding to the misery. The 4th-floor hallway was a scene from a horror movie, with a putrid stench and roaches crawling on the walls. When I dared to ask for compensation for this living nightmare, I was met with silence from an indifferent employee. Staybridge, you turned my stay into a horror show I won't soon forget!

Not for business travelers

This property allows loud parties late into the night. A group of people was playing music through a large party speaker and when I asked the front desk to ask them to turn it down he refused instead telling me loud music is allowed till 10pm. However it went on till 11pm not until I called the IHG Diamond level phone number was I able to get the noice stopped to where I could get some sleep. Not a good place to stay if you’re having to get up early for work.

Hotel needs a lot of renovation

I love staying at the Staybridge hotels but this one needs a lot of attention! Carpet dirty, furniture dirty, smell like old wet, overall room very old, elevator did not work one day…i travel for business and will not be staying there again. Corporate needs to do inspections!

I’ve been staying at Staybridge all over thebUS for well over 10 years.
I’ve noticed all of them are beginning to show their ago.
This one is particularly worn out.
Carpet in room was filthy dirty and worn. Overall condition of lobby and social area was also worn looking.

When I arrived at 530 I was told there were not any rooms available that I would have to wait … I didn’t get into a room until 7PM, when I finally got to my room I didn’t have any towels in my room took about 15 minutes to get them, when I finally received towels most of them were dark/black.

I was surprised to learn from a co-worker he had been solicited for sex in his room by a housekeeper! They said her name was Jennifer. However, my housekeeper Miranda did an amazing job everyday; she is very detail oriented top notch for sure.
